I am beginning to wonder whether the purchase of my new house has been bad rather than good luck.
In order the following events have happened
a tree fell on the house during a storm and caused a lot of damage
those around me don't understand the trauma it has caused me
a week later my partner dumped me
news that my best friend is dying of cancer
another close friend ended our relationship
my daughter told me she doesn't want me at her wedding
I am now wondering whether my new house is jinxed and whether I should sell
Find myself waiting for the next event.
This is not a good way to live:>(

BTW if you have any moor tress close to the house I would think about cutting them buggers down

You make some very valid points.
In relation to the trees here's a good story.
The trees are on council land and therefore I cannot cut the buggers down. The council arborist came and inspected the surrounding trees last week. When I asked about some of the trees I would like to have removed, he said "but they provide a wonderful habitat for the possums!". To which I replied "so the possum habitat is more important than the peace of mind of the residents". There was silence:>)
