I wrote this a while back about a female friend of mind that I was particularly fond of. We were just friends, and being the realist I knew that was all we ever would be. As I was coming to terms with that fact my heart sung the following words

Time passes on as you dance on the edge of my imagination

I can see you there! You are just out of reach.

I can see your smile! Oh how it melts my heart

If only that smile was for me.

If only my arms knew what it was to hold you.

They have been empty for so long



Has the path of my life lead me to you?

Has all of the pain and loneliness been worth it?

Or do I reach for an impossible goal?

If only I could reel in these feelings, and stay the desire in my heart.

Then perhaps I could finally rest, perhaps finally my dreams

Will be devoid of your beauty.




No. I would rather see you there!

The heartache to come will be worth it.

I need to see you there, as the spring greets the flowering rose.

You define beauty to me, set fire to my creativity.

Soon I shall sleep, soon another day will be behind me.

I wait for you there.
