Chris, I hear ya. I can make friends if I meet someone, but the buck stops there. I recently started taking some college classes, and I was really hoping the campus would be a good way for me to maybe meet a neat girl or make a friend outside of the people I already know, and hence expand my social circle.

No such luck.

I've had good experiences just talking to people, but I haven't really made any new friends. And I probably won't, because I had to drop my only daily class since it was eating 2/3s of my paycheck to miss those hours. Now I hardly even have to go to the campus, so I really don't see those people.

And while there's two girls in my remaining classes that I'm attracted to, one of them doesn't even smile and is always in a rush to leave, and the other is so damned gorgeous that I'm downright intimidated. I think she saw me looking at her once when I was leaving...she basically turned away and shook her head. She looked kinda amused, or like she was rolling her eyes.

So, yeah. So much for that idea.

Heh. And what happens when even that doesn't work? What happens when you give it your all, even after thinking you've improved in your problem areas, and suddenly you find you're in the same damn spot as you were 8 months ago?

Then what do you do?
