| Memories a feeling
Sometimes, I wonder if memories contribute their own feelings. Some of this could be just rambling, but read on if you feel like and post your comments on it.
I with my bro in his jeep going to a store. Twilight's dusk, warm yet cool air especially with the top open. Anyways, it just reminds me of memories I've had in this sort of setting. I like it, I mean it brings a funny/spine tingling feeling.
It's just some feeling I get when I look back in past memories (even though that feeling may not have happened at that time in the past).
It seems the feeling is the same, but it can be a good one or sometimes it can just make head hurt or whatnot. I don't know. My point in case, memories can be represented by a weird feeling?
I'm someone who pretty much lives in the past, so maybe it's just something I strive for? I guess it's like a "life is not like the movies/tv"...you can't get the perfect feeling you want.
PS. Wasn't really sure where to put this. It was on debate for Off-Topic. I'll leave it the mods. |

I get what your saying there and ye I get just that. Normally when its cold but nice and worm inside. I remember being an age where I was happy and where I would just kinder couldol up to my GF. It is weird cos I can feel how I did all them yeas ago but I have often thought whether are not that I actually did feel like that at the time also. You put all that in a much better way then I could of.
Its a kinder different form of day-shear-view
Also I think the thread is fine where you put it. I would have not been sure where to put it ether |

Yea dude, i think what ur saying is about Nostalgia. The feeling of remembering the good old times. Thats what we live for, to remember how good our time has been. and unless uve been tortured to insainity in a phase of ur life, chances are that ull forget about the bad times during that phase and only remember the good times a few years later.
its actually one of the reasons that keeps me going, the hope that someday things will be alright like they were before... |

Possibly the feeling is related to the time as opposed to the specific memory. Like looking back at a time that was good and having positive feelings though specific instances being remembered may not have generated those feelings at the time.
Then that could be way off base because some memories today disturb me more then they did at the time which i think is largely based on knowing the outcome.

its actually one of the reasons that keeps me going, the hope that someday things will be alright like they were before... great way to put it. im about to cry because thats exactly how i feel almost everyday. the good memories always outlast the bad ones. i get reminded the bad memories whenever something related to that particular bad memory appear. good memories just come in and out all the time. its seriously the last thing that keeps me going... just someday, someday, things will be like that again...

Sometimes, I wonder if memories contribute their own feelings. Some of this could be just rambling, but read on if you feel like and post your comments on it. There are certain things in my past that stir up feelings, both good and bad.
Also, I have a tendency to "romanticize" past memories, meaning I make them more significant and exciting in my head than they probably actually were. We all want our lives to be wonderful and exciting (most of us anyway). My life has never been perfect but the moments that came close are forever etched in my memory and can easily be recalled. It may be because they trigger a physical sensation...happiness, anger, etc...I dunno.
