I'm sure there are a few threads here about this already, but mine is a bit more specific.

Currently, I am 18 / m and I have yet to find any female companionship. I really don't know where to turn to, to find someone. Aside from craigslist I know of no other place to try to find someone on line. As far as finding someone in the real world, I am not going to college until next year after I save up money. I'm hoping I'll be getting that job as a technical troubleshooter, but I highly doubt it. :-/ So finding a girl at work / school is out of the option and none of my friends can or would hook me up.

So now I am left with trying to find someone in public, however I have some pretty extreme anxiety disorders, I can easily over come them if I have 1-2 beers or a few shots before I go out. So with that out of the way, ideas of places where I could find female companionship?

I really have no idea so i would take this with a grain of salt. You like having a couple drinks and many people use the bar in an attempt to find female companionship. I would imagine that most places where you meet people, you would also be meeting females. Some people have mentioned that the park has been a good place for them to meet people. If you have some kind of hobby or interest then clubs that center on that activity can be good for meeting people. Volunteer or service work also. One guy i knew claims that he met all kinds of females doing volunteer work for his local theater group. Then there is even church. It seems like countless people first met their wife in church.

Here's where it gets hard. My only interest / hobby really are video games and I guess journalism / writing. I'm not really old enough to go to bars or at least not drink in them and alot of the women there are probably too old for me. The volunteer work seems ok though and maybe the church thing, but the church groups always seem to end up being more cult like around here.

I thought that minus gave good advice and I would only be saying the same thing really.

I take my mums dog out regally and I meet a few ppl doing that. ppl with dogs them self. Thing is there all middle aged women lol I should be set in a few years time haha.

I would get a dog, but I got 2 little ferrets already.

I was thinking of night clubs and stuff, but at the same time, it almost always seems to be that the girls who go there are only looking for a one night stand. I'm all for getting laid, but I would much rather do it with someone whom I care about and also hopefully get a long term relationship versus a one night fling.

The volunteer was a pretty good idea, I need to find some places around here that list some volunteer work.

Yea a lot of old accounts got deleted there are a few old ones am really sad to see appear as gusts as well. But stuff like this happens from time to time and I suppose ppl can make another account.

That is the WORST advice you can give someone. The quality of people that you meet in a bar or club is absolutely disgusting.

Are you calling me disgusting? I used to think it was the worst place to go until i realised that where else do they go? and arnt i here?

Seriously think about it, your a hot chick, you have friends that wanna go out, you go out with your chick friends. where else can a
group of girls go and have fun? iv seen plenty of times where a group of girls are together at a pub or nightclub, and thier there only to have fun.

same with me, il go to a nightclub for a good time with the guys. So you think all the girls will took at me and think im only here for a root?

Also a pub is a place where you go to socialise, not to hook up. If you think your better off playing lawn bowls or something be my guest, but i know where all the young people will be.

I think bars and clubs is a good place to meet ppl for the reasons that porman said. Most of my mates have meet there girlfriends in this placers. just that I have never had any luck there or anywhere else for that matter. Only when I worked did I get to meet girls that I ended up going out with.
