I don't know how you feel about the country, but a house on a few acres without a HOA might afford you some peace. Most country people mind their own business and make good neighbors. I can't stand living in the city because of scumbags. Crime is on the rise. Can you believe the FBI is warning about food being stolen? Who steals food shipments? Every since the pandemic people have lost their minds. It's like a free for all. The time of caring about each other and watching out for one another is all but gone.

Yeah, city life is really becoming crappy. My intention is to sell my house and use the western half of the US as my home. The pandemic didn't cause all these problems though. The government did. It's like they are trying to self destruct the country.

You will own nothing and be happy.

Yeah, right now my house is a trap in many ways.
The markets gone down. I read 80% of all the dollars printed have been printed in the past 3 years. It's becoming worthless, but you know that. You're an intelligent person.

Things are getting harder for most families. CNBC reported 63% of families live paycheck to paycheck.
Supposidely the government inflation numbers are down for the fifth straight month. The only problem is that the price of everything has been continually going up. Do NOT try to make sense out of that.

Many food items that I regularly buy are up 300% from a year ago. It's hard to hide that. So, they just say, well, yeah, food is still a little higher then normal. Oh, okay, can I have some more Kool-aid please? Thank you. :)

That can't be true. The government is spending all kinds of money to help all the low / lower income families. I guess the government just needs to spend even more. That'll bring down the costs of everything using government logic. Daahhh

Oh it's just transitory. The economy is strong. 😂

Are you talking about the border or Ukraine? 🤣😂

That we're getting more technologically advanced, but all we're using it for is to make the world MORE competitive, not less, and we're getting LESS able to have free time to enjoy our lives, not more. I just feel like, this is the opposite of what it was supposed to be. If this is what technology is really going to do, then what's the point?

What has "the future" delivered us? Shortages, inflation, more expensive everything.
Oh but we have Twitter and Tik Tok now, I should be thankful for all of this "progress" - BS.

If this was going to be the result, I wish we'd just left things well enough alone.
Hell, the '90s felt more futuristic than today even without all of the phones and stuff, because it felt like the world was turning a page, that things were getting better. Today it feels like everything is devolving, going backwards, getting worse, and they call it "innovation".

I feel like words like "innovation" are code words for "we found a way to use tech to extract even more money out of something, but service isn't going to get better, in fact it will probably get worse, and it won't have any real effect on improving humanity's overall quality of life".

Makes "the future" seem really underwhelming, disappointing, and just dumb after all.

What is something that absolutely drives you crazy?
Certain types of people... i.e. people who have no skills, education, qualifications or experience of doing what I need from my staff but apply and try to con me into giving them the job because it pays very well. Totally overlooking that very well paid jobs do not go to people with no skills, education, qualifications or experience.

Selfish people - i.e. so called friends who expect to be able to see you or speak to you instantly when they have a big problem and want your help but who can never sort out their own things and are never available for proper planned meets or socialising.

People who forever get themselves into problems due to not thinking or planning or being cautious or whatever, and then complain about having another problem. Insisting they have been unlucky when it is their own fault.

Right this moment? School kids in a bus. It's like waddling through square, solid water full of belly high bags...

My mother giving my grandmother technology she can't possibly understand and expecting me to troubleshoot everything because I'm the only one that will be able to.

Um, babies? Lol
Yeah toys. I say I'm gonna get your baby and they hunker down around it as if protecting it. My big dog has had a teletubbie since he was 3. It is his baby. My new puppy has a pig she sleeps with. Then we have the basket that has everything else that I've wasted money on because socks apparently are the must have item.
