Rather not say.
Weirdly I've met a bunch of those in my life, not in real life, but online. This one time I even had two people with full-blown schizophrenia on Skype. One believed he was God and the other believed he was Satan. So I introduced them to eachother, I told them to settle their 2000 year long issues. No joke, this actually happened.

What I always wondered about is that its pretty problematic to claim you're God, since its so easily disproved. Often these people have problems with relations, money, you name it anything we have problems with. So I used to tell them "hey, you're God, why not just make your problems disappear?" Then when they said "well its complicated" and / or "i can't" i'd reply with well then you are not God. After all, being God is being even more awesome then Superman, you can do anything.

If I were completely insane i'd aim lower, i'd claim I was Elvis Presley or Napoleon Bonaparte, thats much harder to disprove. Go ahead and try it, try and prove that I am not Elvis Presley or Napoleon Bonaparte. You can't.

Viva la France, thank you, thank you very much.

Ouch. . . You hit a nerve here. If someone is claiming they're God just for a lark, well - sure, I could see it being funny.

If it's due to mental illness - not so funny. I know and have first-hand knowledge of such experiences. It breaks up relationships, families, lives. . . Nothing funny about that, sorry.

I wasn't trying to make fun of it, I just genuinely wonder and what they would claim had humanity never had a concept of God, would they themselves invent God?

If you're suffering from a mental illness - especially a severe one that causes delusions like schizophrenia or bi-polar, your mind can invent all sorts of crazy things. In lieu of a 'God' figure, one might fancy themselves a russian spy or maybe an Indian chief. To the person experiencing a breakdown, this is their reality. It's heartbreaking to watch. I know - I watched it first-hand.

I think im God because if there is a God then why is my consciousness not his? you know? i was 17 when i thought i was God. when i told my dad, he broke down in tears. he wanted me in a mental hospital. cant say he was wrong but lo and behold nearly 15 years later i still think im God because of all the weird things that have happened to me. you wouldn't understand because you are not me. i can make a whole list for why i think im God but i doubt ill convince anyone.

it stresses there that God will dwell with us like a king among his people. The thing is we dont know who he is, he could be anybody or she. so lets treat everyone like they were holy lol

Swami Vivekananda used to tell crowds "you are all gods!" But I think he had something else in mind.

Here are loads of quotes about his idea of God, including the quote "You cannot believe in God until you believe in yourself." He was a Vedantist, which implies monotheism, but with subtleties. He believed that we all have divinity within us.

interesting.

Psalm 82. Thus says the Lord, Ye are gods and children of the Most High. ... 6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are achildren of the most High. 7 But ye shall adie like men, and fall like one of the princes.

Jesus answered them, “Isn't it written in your scripture, I said, you are gods? ... Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?

i believe the universe in its entirety is God almighty. and since we are all parts of the universe, we are all parts of God.

God is all knowing.
All powerful.
Has no creator.
Everywhere.

The universe knows everything that is happening in the universe, hence it is all knowing.
The universe is the most powerful thing is the universe.
The universe always was, it is its own creator.
The universe is everywhere.

Sounds pretty bad.

Ok, raise my dad from the dead please. Then I'll believe you are indeed God.
Thank you in advance.

In a sense I think you're right yeah.

if believing that you are God makes you crazy Jesus was in the same boat.

New International Version
When his family heard about this, they went to take charge of him, for they said, “He is out of his mind.”

remember when Jesus was crucified? the Pharisees said " Get yourself down from there if you really are God. Did he get down?

and if i raise youre dad id have to raise everyone else who passed away. i remember i was in prison telling my fellow inmates im God. and they were like Get yourself out of there. but i couldn't. i felt helpless. But what if im not supposed to get myself out of there. and besides we all have different definitions of God, to you he might do anything he wants but to me he might just be role playijng as a human being.

To me God has incarnated many times on earth.

He was Samson
He was Genghis Khan
He was Jesus
He was Leonardo di vinci
He was Buddha

one thing i can say is im not Gonna die and neither are you so just wait about a hundred years from now and remember this quote and think of me :)

Jesus raised people from the dead, like Lazarus. I happen to know a lot about religion, my friend. And my religion specifically states that when someone claims to be God, you may ask God for a miracle which He will then perform to prove to you that they are in fact who they claim to be. In fact, my religion urges me to demand a miracle from you, lest I fall for a false prophet.

So go ahead, raise my father from the dead and i'll be the first one to believe you. Until that day, sorry, you aren't God.

ok its your mind im not here to change it. you can believe whatever you want. at the same time i have my own mind and i can believe whatever i want. if what makes sense to you makes sense then believe it. im not looking for a debate. im tired of them. im not looking to change your mind too. just letting you know what i think. peace.

Translation: I can't raise your father from the dead, I'm not God.
