I don't have a graphic/ drawing tablet, so I started doing these drawings using my mouse, driven by my fist, not by my fingers, which is more difficult. I wonder if it is worth buying one, considering the fact that it is not my true nature, yet I like drawing and colorizing from time to time - maybe as a hobby. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks. (I used the free software Krita)

a drawing tablet would definitely be easier on your hands, plus it's easier to control the pressure with it compared to a mouse.
I have only used Wacom tablets for digital art so that's what I would recommend. You can get a small or medium sized ones because the larger the size the more expensive it is so it would depend on your budget.

here is a review of tablets;

good luck on your art and have fun!

thank you very much, I wondered which tablet would be better or good enough because I am not an expert. I will probably buy one in the future if my interest for drawing will be the same as now.

another one, less accomplished

It is maybe less accomplished but it is fun drawing these - as if I were a child again, enjoying colors.

drawing this colored face took only 3-4 minutes, while the others, more artistically made, took hours, one stroke at a time

At first I thought you meant, "is anybody else doing mouse drawings?" As in, is anybody else drawing pictures of mice, heh.

very kewl, makes me want to get a drawing tablet; but, I know I have no motivation/inspiration/talent for that stuff..

I meant I really drew these with my fist, not with my fingers, which would have been easier and better. And yes, I thought about learning graphic design and buying a drawing tablet, but that would be too expensive because I would have to change my computer too, or at least the graphics card. Plus buy Adobe Illustrator or another software. I still like drawing though I noticed that my skills stayed the same since I was 13 or so.

I like to hear you are using Krita; it's an example of some really fine free software. Maybe you could find a used drawing tablet on e-bay? I don't so any need to spend a lot of money either. There's plenty of free software to go around these days. It may not match the power of an adobe suite; but, I believe it'll get you close enough, for most things.

i think some wacom tablets comes bundled with Corel Painter. It's a good software to create the kind of art you do. Has some realistic looking oil paints and watercolor brushes. Krita is still a better alternative compared to adobe illustrator plus it's free.

Anyway, I love the new paintings you shared and I hope you would consider getting a tablet and sharing more art.

Thank you, maybe I will buy one, yet I have to upgrade my computer too because the tablet does not work without proper video/graphic hardware from the desk. It feels like drawing on the sky - this virtual reality that hangs on small things, like memory cards, sticks, etc.

Today the Orthodox Church celebrates ”Florii” (Palm Sunday), which can be translated as Flowers'
Sunday. My drawing, because of this.

I didn't read anything after the second picture of the first post. I was just really interested in mouse pictures, like mouse poker, or Norman Rockwell paintings, but with mice.
