Not right now due to COVID I guess, but I mean in general. The reason I'm posting this is because I never go on the rides. You just never know how safe they are. The people who are responsible for assembling them could be on ludes or something and make a huge mistake and send me flying into the crowd or something. I just don't trust them. Do you feel the same way?

Sounds like someone's been playing too much RollerCoaster Tycoon.

I go on the rides. I get what you're saying, but I feel like that's what safety inspectors are for. Even if the people assembling them were out of their minds on goofballs, it's unlikely the inspectors would be, as well.

Fair point. Also, good to meet you TheSkaFish. :)

Likewise, matey. Hopefully I've put your mind at ease and set you free to enjoy amusement parks in all their glory!
You have. If I'm ever flung from a Ferris Wheel due to a loose bolt or two, into a cotton candy stand, I'm coming after you.

Is that Trevor? He finally decided to go on the ride and then this happens? Ha! Ha!

I used to love them when I was younger, just I have to take some motion sickness medicine early before I get on them.

These days though, with the tightening of the economy, material shortages, etc, I'd rather just play Rollercoaster Tycoon.

I did however, go on Kingda-Ka at Six Flags in New Jersey when I was younger.

I go on the rides just fine. Its interesting what the adrenaline does to me. That being said, I haven't gone on those crazy machines that spin you around in mid air real high up in the air. I always think, "what if the ride malfunctions?"

Lol. OP made me chuckle with that line about ludes.... but I agree.

As a kid, I only went on certain rides, I was *never* into the fling-me-upside-down so all the blood rushes to my head-roller coasters. Couldn't pay me to ever get on one. But I enjoyed the occasional Ferris wheel, ya'know? Real rebel right here. And the haunted rides. Scared me to pieces, but those are the ones I remember the most

I think your probably safer on the amusement rides then you are when you get in your car and drive, they will give just anybody a drivers license. They do some kind of training of those amusement park rides attendants. Like people who are afraid to fly, they don't understand the chance is 1000's time's greater they will be killed in the car on the way to airport.

I ride them, I am not afraid of them, I think they are fun.
