and again, upon further research they have developed technology for (have had this technology but improved upon it) creating human tissue and organs it is called 3d tissue printing. As well as improved upon the technology and made (human organs on a chip) these things are not related to the cyborg component to the way that 2045 initially intended to integrate its technology but it is a possibility that it could be implemented (my opinion) currently upon research this technology claims to be for the used for medical testing in hopes to replace animal testing (which I love the idea of btw) but as well as replicating and replacing of human organs example of this idea: transplants, blood vessels, skin, tissue etc. one of the branches working on this project is NASA (which I am leery about of reasons I don't wish to opinionate here because I do not wish to debate) there team is called ISS National Laboratory there website is https://www.issnationallab.org here is some more information about this project in video format.

here is the 3d printing video as well in video format.

the heart is designed by a team working through Carnegie Mellon University

here is some information from there page as to why they wish to pursue this area in their own words from the site posted above it reads:

Why Produce Human Tissue in Space?

Though researchers have had some success with 3D printing of bones and cartilage on Earth, the manufacturing of soft human tissue (such as blood vessels and muscle) has been difficult. On Earth, when attempting to print with soft, easily flowing biomaterials, tissues collapse under their own weight—resulting in little more than a puddle. But if these same materials are produced in the microgravity environment of space, the 3D-printed structures will maintain their shapes.

Once printed in space, the structures will be placed in a Techshot-developed cell-culturing system that strengthen them over time, to the point where they become viable, self-supporting tissues that will remain solid once back in Earth’s gravity.

Techshot President and CEO John Vellinger said the July launch of BFF is the culmination of more than four years of research and planning. “The concept of developing tissue or an organ in space with a 3D bioprinter has been with us for years,” he said. “From the technological and biological perspectives, making it real has been a painstaking process of experiments and testing. To see this coming together is an amazing thing for the team, as well as for all of medical science.”

For nScrypt CEO Ken Church, Ph.D., BFF’s long-term potential is very personal. Twenty-four years ago, Church’s daughter was born with one lung. She survived and today lives an active and full life despite her missing lung. But Church remembers thinking aloud: “I wish we could just make her another lung.”

Today, the prospect of making a lung is not so far-fetched. “Assembling a human lung or other organ is still years away, but it is no longer science fiction,” Church said. “BFF is the roadmap for getting there. And this BFF team knows how to follow that map. I have no doubt someday BFF will provide someone like my daughter with a second lung.”

this one I do hope they have success there is a great need for humans who have complications with vital organs and other things that need this, as well as these technologies will take the animal testing out of the equation...

I almost completely agree with @Finished actually. Im also a programmer, or used to be.
But a lesser one, as he mentioned so much code is prefabricated and ready to use without understanding now.

I also think you should watch the movie "Snowden" if youre concerned with privacy. Even if you arent using internet, there are so many ways they can track everything.

Also agree that it will take a very long time for certain technological advancements to be feasible. Cloud computing i consider extremely unreliable for something like processing consciousness lol.

I dont know much at all about brain tissue being used to interface with tech, i am aware of it but never gave it much thought.

But yes i do think we can see synthetic organs being possible by 2045. They have been quite successful in thier experiments with that.

Also are you maybe Japanese? Your english is excellent and easily understandable, but you sometimes write phonetically. And thats a very phonetic language.

If you are referring to me actually no, I'm not Japanese but I do appreciate the feedback and no I did not know that this language was phonetic and that I was talking in this manner interesting. I take time to try and explain my topics it takes a lot of time and research, but I feel that everyone deserves to be informed about events current or non-current. I dedicate most of my free time to study I have a entire thread on (things that make me think) side note (not all of the information I share on that thread I have read) it is compiled of things I have either watched, read or would like to research. I am also in the process of making a entire thread on Cern there is a lot of new and strange things happening in this day and age, I wish to keep people informed and analyze how others feel about the subject going on. Thank you again for your feedback it is greatly appreciated what do you guys think should I make a thread on Cern? do you think others would show interest in this topic? let me know in thread :)

No im sorry, but almost no one will show interrst in quantum mechanics. Its basically space magic, or simply just magic to almost everyone.

People have called me insane over lesser things than my claims that i can force reality to manifest in certain ways ironically ignoring reality itself to dismiss my claim.
No one understands. But you cant blame them, it does seem like magic. But they also dismiss things as simple and widely understood as time travel as insanity. Its obvious that very few are interested in these things.

I'm interested in all possibilities, if you can share with me maybe in a pm, I would love to hear your point of view. I do understand that most others are not interested in the subjects I study have you hurd of string theory? what are your opinions on this subject? do you entertain this concept if so why if not why? It's fascinating to me (my opinion) but I respect if others don't agree, how many dimensions do you believe exist? Again, you don't have to share that here if you wish to keep your belief anonymous you can pm me if not, I completely understand if you wish not to share, I appreciate you either way. :)

Currently what makes most sense to me is string field theory. But you also mention a problem by asking how many dimensions i think there are, they may as well be infinite, leading to a to be developed string cube theory, and string hypercube theory, and super string theory all of which would fall short.
Certain questions obviously are not meant to be known, and reality has counter measure built in to prevent anyone from gaining certain knowledge. Quantum mechanics is one of those protections.

I will PM you maybe tomorrow, maybe tonight :)
These things do also fascinate me. But not as much as they once did.

I appreciate your time and response, it is a very interesting subject to me perhaps you could even explain the levels over the 11th dimensional (M-Theory) to me in more detail when you are able to pm me because I would love to hear how this dimension could possibly be eclipsed by another dimensional theory it sounds really interesting can't wait take care friend. :)

If anyone does not know string theory or about the different dimensions believed by science to be possible I can explain this starting from the 0th dimension working up to the 11th dimension (this is not a belief I entirely share since I have not bin able to prove it, just facts form those in the scientific community found from the many hours of research I have spent on the subject.) it is explained as follows:

Zeroth Dimension

Any object having Zero dimension has no length, no width and no height. A point is an example of zeroth dimension as it has no length, no width and no height or depth.
Now let's discuss the first dimension

First Dimension

An object in first dimension has only one dimension i.e. the length. If we connect two points then we get a line having only one dimension. So a line is an example of first dimension having no width and no height but only the length dimension. Someone living in one dimensional universe, will only be allowed to move in the forward and reverse directions. There will be no existence of anything like left or right for him.
Now we will know what we mean by second dimension

Second Dimension

Flat figures like a square or triangle are two dimensional objects. These two dimensional or 2D Objects have non zero area but their volume is zero as there is no height. They have only two dimensions, length and width. So these are known as two dimensional or 2D objects. A person living in a two dimensional space can only move on a plane.

In other words he or she can only move in forward, reverse and left, right directions but not in up and down directions. So his life will be limited to a plane surface. Everything will be flat with zero height in such a universe. Some daily life examples of a two dimensional world are screens of televisions and mobile phones. Although they appear to be a three dimensional World but actually this world inside these devices is confined to a flat screen having no depth or height.

Third Dimension

If we add height or depth to a two dimensional object, it becomes a three dimensional object. A Three dimensional object has non zero volume. A cube or sphere are geometrical examples of three dimensional objects. We live in a three dimensional world where we can move in any direction in space as per our wish. We are free to move in forward, reverse, up and down directions.

Fourth Dimension (Time)

Time is considered the fourth dimension. As I just told you that we live in a three dimensional world where we are free to move in any direction in space. But without the fourth dimension i.e. The time dimension, no events can take place. Without time dimension nothing will change in this world. Time is the way for three dimensions to change. It is the time dimension that allows the objects to change their position and location in space. Without time, the whole universe will look like a snapshot for ever.
As we are living in a three dimensional world, so we have no control on the fourth dimension, the time. We are forced to move only in the forward direction with time. But a person living in four dimensions will be able to go in any direction in time like past or future. He will have control over the time dimension as he is a person of four dimensions.
So these were the first four dimensions that can be perceived by humans. Now We are going to discuss higher dimensions that we can not perceive, although they exist.
So let's start with the fifth dimension

Fifth Dimension

As I just told you that we can not perceive dimensions that are higher than the fourth dimension because they exist on a subatomic level. These higher dimensions actually deal with the possibilities. But why we cannot perceive higher dimensions. Actually these dimensions are curled in on themselves in a process known as Compactification.

But how these higher dimensions are imperceptible. Let me explain it by giving you a simple example.
When we see a rope from large distance, we only observe it's one dimension that is the length. But any insect moving on that rope will also see other dimensions of the rope like its thickness. It will also observe the fine groves and roughness and circumference of the rope that could not be seen by a distant observer.
If a person were living in a world of five dimensions then he would be able to play with time in different ways. He could move either in past or in future. It would also be possible for him to be present at different locations at the same time. He would be able to do many jobs or can have many hobbies at the same time. He could be a doctor, an engineer, a cricketer, a poet and anything else at the same time, as he has full control over the time dimension.

Sixth Dimension

Sixth dimension gives more powers to a person living in this dimension. He can not Only move in any direction in time at his will but also can take many forms at the same time just like the quantum world. We know that the quantum world is the world of probabilities, where particles can be present at different places at the same time and can take different forms. So the sixth dimension gives more flexibility in comparison to the fifth dimension. In The sixth dimension we enter into the world of parallel universes I.e. The concept of multiverse. This dimension will allow us to see all possible presents, pasts and futures. But Every Universe present in this multiverse will have the same beginning as that of our universe I.e. the big bang. This is the limitation of this dimension.

Seventh Dimension

This dimension also, includes the concept of parallel universes. Seventh dimension contains infinite number of universes. So a Person living in seven dimensions can move in any universe and can have infinite forms of itself. The basic difference between the sixth and the seventh dimension is that, the infinite universes in the sixth dimension had the condition that they all must have the same beginning as of ours I.e the big bang.

But the seventh dimension is free from this condition also. Seventh dimension can contain a plane of all possible universes with different start conditions. Universes present in this dimension may have originated from different possibilities.

Eighth Dimension

According to String theory, there will be no physical existence of any object that is present in the 8th dimension. So anyone living in this dimension would not be able to touch anything nor it can be touched by anything or anyone as nothing will have any physical existence. If you find it difficult to imagine, then you can understand it like the digital world that we are familiar with. The eighth dimension will contain a plane of all the possible presents, pasts and futures for all the infinite number of parallel universes that are stretching up to infinity.

Ninth Dimension

Ninth dimension is again very interesting and unbelievable. In the ninth dimension, it is possible for many civilizations or aliens to live at the same place and at the same time without seeing and feeling the presence other, I.e. being completely unaware of the presence of the other. If someone is able to see, then he might be seeing all the civilizations and Aliens living together at the same time at the same place smoothly, independent of each other.
A Person living in the ninth dimension will be able to move in any infinite number of universes, will have no physical form, will be able to move in all presents, pasts and futures of any infinite number of universes that are extending to infinity. One different thing that will happen in the universes of the ninth dimension will be, that these universes may have their own laws of physics and separate conditions and probabilities of their origin.

Tenth Dimension

This dimension will contain infinite possibilities and would be infinitely complex to understand for us. A person living in the tenth dimension will have infinite powers. That person would be so powerful that he would be no other than the God itself as he would be able to control space and time and every thing present in any infinite number of universes.

He would have all the powers that are possessed by the person living in other lower dimensions that we have already discussed. The possibilities for this dimension are infinite. Even those things are possible in this dimension that are beyond your imagination.

Eleventh Dimension

Friends before describing the eleventh dimension, let me tell you that according to string theory there are 10 dimensions, while M- Theory says that there are total 11 dimensions. But According to Bosonic theory, total number of dimensions may be up to 26.
But scientists say that, because of self consistency, a universe cannot have more than 11 dimensions as they become unstable. Because of this unstabilty they collapse back down into 11 or 10 dimensions.
So now let's come back to the 11th dimension.
In the eleventh dimension everything imaginable or unimaginable is possible. In other words you can say, that there is nothing that cannot happen in the 11th dimension.
According to M-Theory the smallest thing in the universe is not atoms, electrons, higgs boson or quarks. The smallest thing is much smaller than all these subatomic particles. Actually the smallest thing in the universe is "Strings". You may think, why I am explaining the strings here? Actually strings vibrate in the eleventh dimension that we are going to discuss. Everything present in every universe of every dimension is made up of Strings. All the atoms, subatomic particles, muons, quarks, Higgs bosons are made up of Strings. You will be surprised to know that according to M theory, everything in the universe originated from the 11th dimension not from the first, second or third dimension.
But what are these Strings and how small they are?
In Physics, string theory is a theoretical framework in which the point like particles of particle physics are replaced by
one-dimensional objects called strings.

So, as you can see there are other theories, and this is described one in which is Bosonic Theory in which there are supposedly 26 dimensions but through further research into Bosonic theory they use Tachyons which makes the theory more unstable due to Tachyons being faster the speed of light, not to say that it would not fit into Einstein's theory of Relativity just the formula would be unstable due to the nature of Tachyons (is it possible there are others dimensions over the 11th or M-Theory absolutely possible though would they be stable?) I would love to hear about this string field theory, this sting cube theory etc. It would be interesting I'm open as I said to all possibilities :)

I'm not caught up on this thread; but, I'll chime in on the original topic.

I don't see anything exciting or interesting, for the most part, about consciousness transfer from carbon based to silicon transistor based.

Take a simple thought experiment for example. Let's say that Star Trek style teleportation exists. Let's say you are being teleported from the Earth to a space station; but, there is a malfunction, and your previous self, on Earth, doesn't get de-materialized. Now there are two exact copies of your, 'self.' There is one, now on the space station, and another, back on Earth. Which, 'you,' is the real you, now?

If that were to happen, you wouldn't suddenly have 4 eyes, 4 legs, and 4 arms, whith each pair being in separate places. The, 'you,' you feel yourself to be, wouldn't have two bodies, in two separate places. There would be nothing connecting the second you, to your, 'self.' So, this is no different, than if, while living, your consciousness was transferred, to a computer. The new you, in the machine, would be you; but, it also wouldn't be you, at all. So the, 'you,' that you take yourself to be, whether that actually exists at all, certainly would still die, experience death, and cease to exist beyond your death. Your digital counter-part, yes, may live on; but, that wouldn't be the, 'continuity of you,' that will go on to die in biological form. The moment you are cloned, whether completely, or patterned into a machine, there is a continuity break.

Philosophically, you can go down quite the rabbit hole if you take the thinking further. But, I feel I've been there done that, and formed my own conclusions.

What does sound interesting to me, however, is, imagining a group of say 2 to 4 humans, who volunteer to have their consciousnesses merged with a single ego, that has control over all of them. You would have 8 eyes, 4 pairs, in separate locations. You would exist, as a single entity, in 4 different spatial locales, at any given time. I don't think any human could come close to imagining what that would be like, and I don't think such a being could be considered human. This will be possible in a cybernetic future, that, I don't think is actually that far off.

Using Brain Machine Interfaces, and a mass of human neurons, if science wanted to make this happen, it probably could be done in less than 10 years, barring ethical concerns, and monetary limitations; that is, assuming there were 4 willing participants.

So, things may get weird in the near future, if civilization survives that long.

As for immortality... I think the important question to ponder is, 'what does your, 'you,' really consist of?' I tend to think our sense of self, isn't really real. I think it's real in the way sound is real, or light is real; but, sound and light don't really exist. Sound and light don't have mass. They are emergent properties of matter interacting with itself. A pool of water may have waves; but, the waves aren't physical and material, the way the water is, they are just something the water is collectively, 'doing.' So, as waves, sound waves, and light waves are, 'happenings.' I think our sense of self, our ego, is a, 'happening.' It's the bouncing of a ball, that we may be pointing to; but, it isn't the ball, directly.

Godlike immortality, would be an interesting thing for any being to experience, I think. In my mind, whether in this Universe, or some other Universe, I think such an experience would like to play itself out, probably in multiple different ways. However, as for my, 'self,' I think a truly godlike immortal being, would eventually, at some point, want to die. So, if immortality does exist, I find it highly unlikely, that any being that was capable of it, and would want to experience it. Long life, maybe, we, as individual human beings, might be interested in. I'm not so sure about infinite life though. Life and death form a duality. So I'm not sure true immortality would really be life at all.

Anywho..

thank you for giving your detailed response to add more to this topic, I always appreciate the feedback its help me to think in new and unusual ways, where to begin I will take this piece by piece so that I may try to fill you in on the topic as it progresses. There are currently 3 ways that this technology might happen in the near future, whether this company makes progress in these fields I am going to list by the year 2045 is the question Finished and Anarchic believe that this technology will not meet this deadline due to lack of advancement in the technological fields in question: AI, SBI, and even full holographical integration (which I don't count as are own consciousness for obvious reasons, but the researchers of project 2045 count as consciousness transfer.) You seem well informed so I will assume you already know about these technologies if not I have added the information in the thread on these topics in question. Yes, I agree that transference of consciousness is not a thing without its own ramifications, who's to say it is your true consciousness or a computer simulated consciousness (we don't know and cannot rule out that there could me malicious intent to alter your programming of course there's that possibility.)

Now SBI on the other hand is your brain matter transferred into a robotic body (a cyborg) this notion has bin tested and has actually surpassed AI, in the ability to learn and is at this moment still being research and developed. (Can there also be tampering with the system, of course anything computer related has backdoors that can be hacked) but this system seems to be more possible and will most likely be available around the deadline that they seek (possibly). If their intention is to transfer actual consciousness this would more than likely fit the criteria of human/robotic integration since it is, you brain matter. To add this would also Implement the possibility of being able to interphase with objects like computers, robots, cars, phones, other users through (telepathic technological integration) the possibilities are infinite.

What does sound interesting to me, however, is, imagining a group of say 2 to 4 humans, who volunteer to have their consciousnesses merged with a single ego, that has control over all of them. This has not bin covered, and I thank you for bringing it up, this is whats known as Hive Mind technology, its bin seen in sci-fi and in nature, could also become a possibility in the future. The concept is to take multiple consciousnesses and transfer them into a singular entity thus making them one being, the only thing is that the personalities are melted together to become one entity. This theory is also disturbing but can also be possible due to peoples interest in connecting with others via social media they are currently evaluating this notion that if we wish to connect with one another to a extreme in these ways what's to say that we cannot intergrade into a collective consciousness (Hive Mind) this can have drastic ramifications either for the better or for the worse it also begs the question who's consciousness would be the model for this structure? I did not wish to bring up the topic of this possibility because then others who already think these notions are crazy but in theory it is a possibility. I have not hurd any evidence yet that this type of technology is being researched and developed so for the sake of not getting into conspiracy theory I will not confirm nor deny the possibility of the (Hive Mind theory) because I have no solid evidence that it is in trails or being tested. But if anyone wants to know what this theory is that we are talking about I will link a video on the topic added to this post after.
As for immortality... I think the important question to ponder is, 'what does your, 'you,' really consist of?' I tend to think our sense of self, isn't really real. You probably hurd of the simulation theory I will assume that you have since you talk about the concept of physical reality, (for those who do not know this concept) Is the concept of physical reality being a computer-generated simulation, that the universe is like a computer and are physical reality is just a concept of are perception of the 5-senses, due to are limited ability to process all information in its entirety. But for this theory to be possible as well is another discussion entirely that will be a long a very strenuous debate topic (and I have no interest in debates) do I believe there is a possibility for this as well yes because there has bin tests proving that there is in fact both physical and nonphysical matter in the universe one such material that can explain this is (dark matter) it is responsible for 27% of all matter holding the universe together (according to quantum physics research) can I tell you that from experience (no) but what I can tell you that there are possibilities outside of the relm of physical reality I have witnessed it all my life due to my mental condition (that would be another debate I do not wish to open up) for the sake of getting back on topic yes there are different possibilities and I value everyone's opinion on this matter I wish to hear from everyone about this because if you believe it or not these projects are real, they are being tested and researched already this will impact are future in one form or another. Thank you Tropical for your feedback its greatly appreciated there is so much more possibilities I am finding about this topic the research is still ongoing.

Side note: you may also wish to look at the topics Xeno technology aka (Xeno Bots) as well as Crispr DNA modification and cloning I will possibly cover these topics at a later time since I am limited in research time it is very time consuming to go into these different programs and technologies. But I do it because I feel everyone should know what is happening in the world we live in (not speculation but backed up research) so I will continue my research into this topic.
