Nope, I feel exactly the same way. I think it's also a big part of depression. I'm not diagnosing you, but I certainly have it and it's a characteristic of it. Life blows. Can't wait to die.

I personally enjoy all animals, from the squirrel to the whale, it doesn't matter. We take them for granted everyday, or find them to be "annoying" or a "nuisance" but they're part of our world, just like we're a part of theirs. To really calm down sometimes, if I'm in a parking lot before...

Slow drives on the highway are actually pretty good. Forced to concentrate on the road, enjoy the scenery, although, then I see all the cars (mine included) polluting the beautiful countryside. We really need to go all out on electric cars don't we? (going off on tangent, sorry, lol)
