I'm Matt. I've lived all over the United States and managed to do almost none of the touristy stuff. Despite being a master of first impressions and impromptu conversations, I'm pretty bad at maintaining long term friendships. Blame my constant moving.
When I was a kid I realized that I envied all of the guys with funny stories to tell. I figured out that the best way to have hilarious and truthful stories was to experience trauma, so I started saying yes to doing stupid things that would often get me into trouble. Life moves too slow for my trauma to build up naturally so I had to take matters into my own hands. Good thing too, because I have some stories to tell.
Thou canst not then be false to any man.
Sometimes the things that may or may not be true are the things a person needs to believe in the most. That people are basically good; honor, courage, and virtue mean everything; money and power mean nothing; that good always triumphs over evil. You remember that. Doesn't matter if it's true or not. A man should believe in those things, because those are the things worth believing in.
