    "Waiting" for love

My advice to him was "focus on yourself and your own life." This idea of "waiting" and "wasting months" makes no sense to me, ardour. If relationships are fun and positive, the duration of that connection can never be a waste of time - even if it doesn't culminate in something long term. You...

What's up with today's kids being bullied?

I totally agree with you. I have parented with the code "If someone hits you - hit them back twice as hard".  If you're passive and intimidated, you remain a target. However...and it's a big 'however'...I didn't have to contend with teenagers tooled up with knives on the way home...or cope with...

What's up with today's kids being bullied?

Social media....persecution with a global audience. Bullying wasn't relentless in my childhood - isolated playground incidents that could be 'left behind' once you reached the sanctity of home. There was always emotional respite in the form of weekends and holidays to lick your wounds before...

    When was the last time..

I do feel warm...rosy-cheeked and about to pull my sweater off. The next person is getting hungry and thinking about food...

    Another newbie

Hi Girliegirl! Generally, the alarm clock gets me up every day - otherwise, I'd sleep until lunch time! See you around x

Game -Guess something about the next person

I can relate...I have four or five watches gathering dust in a drawer. All need batteries - which constitutes as 'broken beyond repair' as I doubt I'll ever get round to it. Nope - not a ginger red head. The next person is a zodiac fire sign.

Game -Guess something about the next person

I do! Cornflakes with icy milk in the afternoon...and I feel no shame. The next person never wears a wrist watch.

Hi Celt! Only four posts old yourself, I see? Must go and look for your intro. Meanwhile, we can blunder around together!

True of False-If you wear glasses these days, you aren't even trying

Just the thought of putting contact lenses in makes my eyes water. I value my own comfort far above what other people think. If slipping glasses on was enough to put a potential mate off - then that person was too shallow for me anyway! I certainly don't find glasses on a man unattractive.

    "Waiting" for love

Impossible to guess at this woman's intentions without knowing her. I wouldn't automatically assume that sexting/lighthearted communications indicate she wants nothing more. Relationships usually start with attraction and those heady feelings caused by sexual attraction. You've counselled...

Let's get the awkward bit with over with....

Hi Viridian! Thanks for the welcome. Devon is a beautiful part of the world - I lived in North Devon for a few years and loved it. I'm particularly fond of Dorset as a county - patchwork quilt countryside and thatched cottages. The coastline is both stunning and varied - my favourite is...

What is it that you want others to understand about you the most?

I value people above all else - no real interest in material possessions or professional rank... I gravitate far more to people who operate from the soul rather than the mind. Everybody has a story, a different perspective and I'm genuinely interested in other people's points of view and life...
