This has been my experience as well. :) It also works in reverse. I've met many people who are supposedly quite beautiful, but because they're cruel or malicious on the inside, they've always looked ugly to me. Like they've rotted from the inside out.

After several bad experiences in college, I just gave up. The last 10 years I've basically kept to myself. If it wasn't for family, I don't think I'd speak at all. And it's not as pitiful as it sounds ;), I'm pretty content being alone most of the time, but sometimes, it's just a little too...

Relatively intelligent, extremely creative, dry sarcastic sense of humor. :) Compassionate to a fault -- have to hide it behind a wall of cynicism and ebil, which can be fun, too. :D

Terminal shyness, literally, to the point of mental illness. And being fugly doesn't help.
