What is life worth living for anyway?I have no friends.
You have online friends here like me. :)

I have no friends IRL and I think that's mostly a good thing. It definitely makes my life easier and less stressful. It helps to find lots of time consuming things that interest you and persue them. Or find things that help get you where you want to go. Looking back most of my IRL friends held me back.

😍🙂😉thanks Finished,your awesome.

I don't have friends IRL either, but I did have one until a few years ago. She didn't hold me back.....but she did push a few of her agendas onto me. On the whole it was worth it and I'd like to have something like that going for me again. But it doesn't really seem doable for some reason. In the meantime, and maybe from now on, I've got ALL and my own versions of the interests and activities that occupy Finished.

I don't much, either.
I have 2 friends in town, both of which I've known 12+ years already.
That's about it.
Otherwise, all of my social interaction happens at work with my staff and coworkers, among my family, or online.
Lady named Sharon that works for me tells me "you should go out more," well Sharon, I would if it didn't cost me 5x to get a drink at a bar that it does for me to just go to the gas station, or about the same markup for the food vs. the grocery store. 🤷‍♂️

What are you drinking? Premium unleaded?

Nah man, it's that I live in a tourist trap in one of the cheapest states in the country, so all of the public places charge crazy amounts because they know that people coming in from out of town have the money to spend.

This place is kind of like a has-been tourist city.
It was big in the early 80s, died out by the early 90's because the city made stricter laws due to the way people would party here.
Ever since then, it's turned into basically the IRL version of Sons Of Anarchy.

I feel that man, I'm in Central London it's bloody ridiculous how much more we pay for stuff than the rest of the country. In certain parts of Northern England you could buy a three bedroom house with what I spend on groceries every year. How the fresia does that make sense!?!

When people say this I often think how unfair it is that one can't find something to live for when there's people who have their lives taken away, or can't live a normal life for one reason or another. Those people would happily trade places.

You have to find something to live for, not least yourself. Find a passion, enjoyment, or fulfillment.. it's all there.

Hey your lucky it's so cheap to live where you live, where live at,they jacked up the prices of electricity and power so much,it's crazy how expensive it is to live here.

This is a common themed question on this site, and as usual I'll give my Christian perspective for all to consider or ignore - with no offense warranted.

If the purpose of life is to love God and love people, which I believe to be the case, then life is worthwhile only if we pursue these two goals. The first can be done easily and privately with no fear of failure if one merely has an open heart. The second is a harder challenge for most of us.

Everybody here has ideas on how to go out and make friends. It takes time and effort though and a willingness to get out of our comfort zone and be assertive. If all else fails, be it clubs, volunteer organizations, hitting the bars, or whatever, I maintain that a good church is a friendly environment to engage strangers, to join small groups, and to ultimately build new friendships. Know too that the friendships built among believers are the only ones, and only thing, that will last beyond this temporary life.

The Bible makes clear that we're all created with value and purpose in life. Whether that life is worthwhile or not depends entirely on the relationships we build.
