Makeup. What do you think about it

Oh I agree Freckles are beautiful.. If I had them I'd just re-apply them over my foundation. My grandmother - 100% Irish woman with lovely natural red hair, green eyes and freckles all over.. I'd be upset if she had ever tried to cover them.. But, she wasn't much for makeup anyway, Infact I don't think she ever wore a stitch of it, lol
I have a wee bit of Irish in my blood. 😉 My dad was born a red head and had green eyes.

I'm generally a no makeup person because I'm allergic to several fragrances, cosmetics, etc. (Amusingly, I once broke out with brown bumps from a foundation.). I wear a eyeshadow & tinted sunscreen for my lips.

I think in the right hands makeup can look amazing. Also I'm cynical about makeup. I think manufacturers, magazines, etc. play on ppl's insecurities. Like make them feel their eyes are too small, their nose is too wide, etc.

Sometimes ppl don't realise that the models' faces they see in mags are photoshopped or are told their features, such as freckles, are ugly. ☹️. But like I said I'm cynical/pragmatic by nature.
This is so true, I've seen myself and my sister on company websites and we dont even look like the final images of ourselves, it can wreckkkkk your self-esteem. Mines always the nose, so much pressure to get a nose job its unreal lol

Makeup can be for art, fun, to cover insecurities, theres sooo many different reasons why people chose to wear it, also after getting attacked, I only went outside with makeup on, to hide the bruises. One of my eyes are still slightly bigger than the other so I use heavy eye makeup to conceal that until I finally find a surgeon that'll touch me lmao.

whatever you do… do not eat it! 🙈 why make my lips taste like strawberry if its not safe to consume 😂🙈 you monsters! 🥺

Ladies generally look better without it, IMO, or some times, worse with it. Some women, and I believe this to be a rarity, are natural makeup, 'artists,' and know how to accentuate very well with it. While other women, seem to kind of have no clue what to do with makeup, but persist in using it anyway, perhaps just because they feel it's the, 'womanly,' thing to do, or it's traditionally or culturally kind of imposed upon them one way or another, to varying degrees.

These are just my observations, though, from my experience.

I really don't like lipstick on a woman, unless it's just accentuating her natural color, but that's more of a lip gloss thing (absolutely _hate_ red lipstick on a woman (not that anyone asked...))

I do dig a well done smokey eyes look, eyeliner deal though (not that anyone asked, again.)

Overall though, I think makeup isn't necessary, and I imagine, can be a huge time-sink too, unless it's just light accents, here and there, now and then...

...It certainly shouldn't be socially regarded as a requirement under any condition, I don't think.

I prefer the au naturale look most days with just a bit of mascara, but will doll up for an event as necessary. Even then, I do not care for the IG 'selfie look'. It always makes me wonder what someone looks like under foundation they applied with a spatula.

I actually enjoy trying to figure out how they really look. I had an expensive early model DSLR camera with a large array of filters. I could literally take pictures of people through thin fabrics. The pics were only black and white. But, they were pretty much naked photos of people. I had other lens which seemed to remove different types of makeup. It was fun to see what people really looked like.

I am not really into make up. My wife looked way better without make up. When I compliment a female friend of hers looking bright and radiant they often say they did not wear makeup for such and such reasons. I just prefer natural women. I value imperfections on individuals because I like the uniqueness they have. I often recognize people without make easier than with make because of the arrangement of their freckles without make up, the thinness of their eye lashes and eyebrows, the less exaggerated color of their eyes without Mosquera or the definition or lack of definition in their cheekbones without foundation. I feel it is sad people who rely on make up daily buy the products when it is not needed (have known many women terrified to leave the house without make up because they feel ugly without it and it is not even close to being accurate). I also think it’s upsetting that a woman stays with certain relationships because that is the only man other than her father who knows her face without make up and they feel safe with them in that sense, but get emotionally abused. Read about a woman who got so used to being hit by her boyfriend she felt weird not wearing make up because she still felt she had to hide the bruising even after the relationship. Anyways woman don’t need make up but if they find it fun and enjoy wearing it then do what makes you happy.
