Well, I am basically left-leaning - I've always been pro-democracy, anti-hierarchy, because I feel like a lot of the time hierarchies are just accidents of birth/genetics. I feel like a person's character is more important than the muscles/looks, or money, or whatever else that someone was born to.

So, while I have to disagree, at the same time you recognize Trump's flaws, and at least don't worship him mindlessly the way a lot of people seem to. Thanks for clearing that up in any case.
I try not to worship anyone "mindlessly"...

As far as the thread goes, nudity itself isn't evil per se.
But at the same time, I feel like it shouldn't be shown to just anyone. Like I don't think kids should be shown nudity, or graphic violence for that matter. I think kids should be allowed to hold on to their innocence for as long as possible, they'll be forced to confront cold, competitive, uncaring, nasty reality soon enough.

It's kind of strange. For as much as I want to have a romantic/sexual relationship with a woman, I also miss the innocent age, before this, a lot, and wish I could go back. Unfortunately time, as far as we know, is a one-way street.

I don't think women should be covered head to toe or anything like that.
I just feel like, a little modesty - just a little bit - is tasteful.
I think when people go out wearing really skimpy outfits (not including swimwear), I feel it's like, sure, do what you want, and of course it isn't "asking" to be hurt or insulted in any way, but it is provocative, and the people doing it know what they're doing. Going out looking like a porn star, is probably not carrying yourself in the most dignified way. The guy equivalent would be like, bragging about money or status, I guess - it's kind of uncivilized, Darwinian, base instinct displays. It's vulgar either way.

I don't know. I'm not for taking people's freedoms away, but at the same time I feel it's like, I guess I'm not for either extreme - covered head to toe, or wearing next to nothing either. I'm not for repression, but for lack of a better term, I'm not for "porn culture", either. "Porn culture", is hyper-Darwinian culture, either raw sexuality or raw brutality. As sentient beings, we're supposed to be capable of a higher way.

As for the TV preacher guy, I think he probably is a crackpot, trying to use a non-issue, to stir up controversy, to get attention, ultimately to get money. These people that make a big show of acting like they care about morality, really don't, because there are a lot more important issues going on than worrying about some hypothetical nude woman.
I think it's all a hustle.

Honestly I think lack of religion (devout European based Christianity) is the primary cause of the downfall of the Western world.
And yeah, there are charlatans out there.
But still, I cannot agree with bashing religion altogether because of the few fakes.
More Charlemagnes, less charlatans. That's the formula.
Conveniently ignoring all the wars of aggression fought by Christians over millenia, the near wiping out an of an entire continent of indigenous people, done under the auspices of the church and manifest destiny.

There's plenty of zealots within all the Abrahamic religions ( probably other religions too ) that believe all women are evil, so if this guy think's only naked women are evil, I guess, that's progress.

Again, you are 100% entitled to your opinion.
I won't comment on your Maoris, as I do not know much about them.
But here in the US, the "indigenous population" was extremely brutal to each other. Some of them welcomed a change.

The last 2,000 years of human history, is maybe a bandaid fix at best compared to the much longer timeline of human history. So naturally, following suit we too will also fall as a civilization. Because of a factor of inevitability. Nothing is permanent, not even stars and galaxies.

Shouldn't this thread with this topic either get locked or moved to the debate section?

Probably.
I've been polite, respectful and open minded in all my responses here.
One guy though compared me to a "crazy lady" because he disagrees with my political philosophy.
Maybe conservatives are the open minded and accepting ones after all, huh?

You'd have to ask them, now wouldn't you?
Maybe native Alaskans making a fortune from the pipelines?
Or Indians running casinos?

I live in an area that is 10% indigenous and another 8% mixed and live near a large reservation. One of my jobs is about 60% indigenous people. While there may be some who feel these 'changes' were good, I haven't heard from one of them as of yet.

I live about 2 hours away from Foxwoods.
They may say differently.

I found his stated policy goals far preferable to the other choices in the past 2 elections.
Yes, I agree, he is a terrible communicator and says stupid things. Very stupid things at times.
But when the other side is pretty much doing away with our country's borders, allowing horrific crime, rioting and looting, wanting to tax hard workers even more, supporting groups like BLM and Antifa over the Cops, and pushing this "woke" crap down our throats, I really do not have a choice.

I'll vote for Governor DeSantis in the next primary, but I will vote for President Trump if he wins the primary.

Here's a real world example of what I am talking about and why I am a conservative.
I was walking back from an appt. with a escort today. It was all the way over on 10th Ave.
While I was going back to GCT, a MASSIVE gang of bicycle riders started tearing down 57th street. There was easily over 1000 of them.
They were not obeying traffic laws. In fact, they were going out of their way to break them. Not stopping for red lights, weaving between cars, riding on the wrong side of the street, and worst of all, riding on the sidewalk and coming very close to hitting people, including old people and children. One of them came very close to hitting me and I was getting ready to defend myself if I had to (luckily I did not have to). And what did I see at the very end of this unruly convoy??? Five cops on scooters following them. Not arresting them for GROSS traffic violation, but simply following them. That is what we get in leftist run cities. Mayors and DAs hamstringing the police. And this is why I vote against leftists no matter who is running against them. And let me tell you something else. Stuff like this DID NOT HAPPEN when President Trump's lawyer was running this town.
So you are anti-freedom, like DeSantis

Probably.

I politically don't care.
Historically speaking, we Americans messed up when we called in the bankers for a bailout during the revolutionary period so that we could afford to fight both the civil war and go aid in the battle of Waterloo.
We messed up with that, because the bankers coaxed the government into a privatized bank inside central government. In all actuality, the Federal Reserve is no more federal than the Federal Express. It's just named that.
The shitty thing about it is that it happened so long ago that everyone born in the last 150 years or so was literally just born into it and inherited the problem thus as such.
Then the Nixon Administration pulled us off the gold standard in 1971 because it was nearly all spoken for due to foreign trade, and the credit system was switched from strictly commercial use to public access for personal use.
I think Sam Adams was right, it just should've never happened in the first place.
But I mean, here we are I guess. And the people who did this are all long dead.
I make it a point to try to be adaptable. Because adaptation is good for survival.
In the history of gilding, typically what tends to happen is that Eastern countries horde their gold, and Western countries spend it, and therein is the stipulation.
The way we got to where we are now was through what's called Economic Hitman. So in that regard, yes, the West was stolen.
The way that I look at it is, if all four of your car tires are flat, and the only available mechanic and tire shop is 26 miles away, are you really going to be worried about your brakes? Probably not, since you can't get your car to the shop anyhow. And THAT, is why I actively try to maintain the ability to be as adaptable as possible. The entire reason why I don't have kids and a wife, or a mortgage, or a car, is because I'm intentionally rationalizing the sacrifices of desires for the sake of adaptable practicality. It makes my life easier. I don't have too much clouding my vision. It's exhausting, yes, very much so, but I'm making it work. But because I'm making it work, usually Conservatives look at me like: "Listen here you little honeysuckle..." 😂
For tonal sake (since it can't really be expressed accurately through text) I'm very nonchalant and mellow at the moment. Methinks it might be because I took my sleeping meds after a day at work that mentally burned me out.

Ermmm....OK.
Hope you have a nice nights sleep!
Happy Sunday!

FYI I agree on the gold standard.
Best thing about it was that Govt could not spend what they did not have.

I just watched a TV preacherman refer to a naked woman as "evil."

THAT my friends, is why religion is threat to humanity.
Religion itself isn't a threat to Humanity. People are a threat to Humanity.
The Bible didn't say that naked woman was evil. That guy did.
I'm not a big fan of religion either. But there's a big difference right there.

It's a ponzi scheme. Ponzi schemes don't last once they've ran out of options for multiplicity. Again, factor of inevitability. It's kind of a ************. Can't squeeze juice out of a dried fruit.

But people like that guy, who interpret the Bible the same way as that guy, have full churches, and influence millions of people who agree with them and vote. Most rational Christians I know don't vote
