WTF is religion "off limits?"

Why is this single topic forbidden to criticize or question?
It is embarrassing that anyone should be so fragile and touchy over mere words.

I don't even know how any book has ever survived this assault on words and thought.

Human life, by definition, is fragile. We are squishy, have emotions, and such. And we are social creatures.

Love and understanding, have always been rather delicate in nature; yet, paradoxically resilient.

In my opinion, I think people have had to be hard, for too long, and it eventually makes for hard times, and hard people.

Nobody wants to a hug a steel pole. And nobody wants bridges made out of pudding.

Somehow, we become convinced that ice, is preferable to water, or that water is preferable to ice.

I think circumstance often works against us, and so we look for something to blame... Like when you bang your finger with a hammer, and then get mad at the hammer, heh..

Actually, it is.

"Religious discussion is allowed on the forum but debates are not, any discussion which turns into a debate will have the thread closed."

Just fyi.
I have my own views, which I've discussed before. But this is not a site who's purpose is to criticize or debate religion. There are other forums dedicated to that purpose.

There's a fine line between debate and argument. Sharia Christians are too stone brained for debate
