Men like mistresses because its variety, men like variety, its a common phenomenon. So common that if you went to a tribe in deep Africa the men would laugh at you for having one wife. I believe in compromising, I just don't do it. XD I hate when I need to be happy with stuff being done 50% of the way I wanted it. I have " go big or go home " mentality also, " the best or nothing " also. xD

speaking for myself when the testosterone level is (was) good I find it very easy and convenient to be monogamous because a quick and unsophisticated release of tension is needed ... the need for diversity instead increases when the "lustful" feeling is in decrease ... fortunately I like diversity strictly within monogamy
