In this day and age,it is so expensive to live,it is a lot better to save all the money you can for every day expenses,if you can,are you yourself a saver or a spender? If you are a spender, what do you like to buy?

In everyday life I'm rather a saver but on occasions like holiday, parties, restaurants (I like tasting new food) I'm a spender.

Extreme Saver. In high school I was flush with cash. I worked full time and grew and sold weed. Money meant nothing to me. Then I went into the military. It was a SHOCK! I only made a fraction of what I was before AND they took out even more taxes and other crap. I held on to every penny. I really wanted to buy a decent camera about a year into the military. I had way more money then I needed saved up. I kept going to the base store, looking at it, seeing the price, and then start shaking. I was so nervous about spending any money. It took many trips before I was willing to buy it. All the other guys were signing loans for cars and blowing all their money. I bought an old car, fixed it up, and painted it.

When I got out I had enough money for a large down payment on a house. IMO, all the people in the military can and should do that. But, they choose not to. You live for free, you eat for free, and you get paid. I don't understand it. Oh well. Then I saved and paid off my house as fast as I could.

Over the years I loosened up a little bit. But, after I quit working about 12 years or so ago I started saving more. Now, I'm very thrifty. A few months back I had probably the only opportunity I will ever have to get back into the work place at a decent level. But, I let it pass. So, now I realize I really need to watch what I spend.
