    A quick update

Hello! For those of you who might remember me, I just thought I'd swing by and give a brief update on the life and times of Spare and halfemptyheart26. Life is busy. Half and I just celebrated our second anniversary (for those who don't know, Half and I met on this very forum, and wound up...

Just sitting here eating a turkey sandwich...

...and thinking about all my old friends from ALL. A little update on me. As some of you know, halfemptyheart26 and I got married over the summer. Far and away the best day of my life. She's been such a blessing; I can't imagine my life without her, and memories of the years before we met are...

On Saturday June 8th, halfemptyheart26 and I got married in Seattle. It was a beautiful ceremony with family and friends. We are very, very happy. Movie Quotes

This is a simple game. You leave a movie quote, and the next person says what film it's from. After they've answered, they leave a new quote. We'll start with an easy one: "Listen! You smell something?"

    Today it occured to me...

When I first met my ex girlfriend, she was in a rough place in her life. She was in a situation she didn't like, in a state she hated, and she was very alone. Things were at their worst for her around Christmas time last year, so she managed to finagle some leave to come up and spend the...

    Fed Up

I'm tired of regret. I'm tired of holding myself back. I'm tired of feeling bad about myself. I'm tired of waiting for things to happen, instead of making things happen. I'm tired of excuses. I'm tired of dwelling on the past. I'm tired of apathy. I'm tired of lethargy. I'm tired of mistreating...

    My Own Worst Enemy

Raise your hand if you are your own worst enemy. *raises hand* Now raise your other hand if you are sick and tired of being your own worst enemy. *raises other hand* So let's try to bury the hatchet with ourselves and work towards proceeding into the future as constructively as we possibly...

Is it better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all?

I've been thinking about this a lot. Having spent time as the latter, and having recently experienced the former, I have come to the laborious conclusion that yes, it is. What do you think?

    A very nice compliment

One of my Literature professors told me today that I'm "such a great writer" (her words). Then she asked me what my field of study was, and when I told her it was creative writing, she said, very emphatically, "that's wonderful!" Made my day! :D

    New Year's Resolutions

Here in Montana it's New Year's Eve-Day-Midmorning, and I've been thinking about my New Year's Resolutions. I have several. One is intensely private, and I intend on keeping it to myself. But as to the others, I feel that sharing them may assist me in my various quests of self-improvement: 1...
