Facebook- probably the worse party I ever went to..

I'm not crazy about Facebook myself. I joined writing groups hoping to get assistance, and really didn't get any. I have been very tempted to leave...until I remember that I made a memorial page for my son that passed away 11 years ago. Otherwise, I rarely visit it. My other children do have a...

    I'm not a writer yet

I think I'm with everyone else. I read that you just write. Anything. Even if it's mindless words that don't make any sense. I started writing responses to prompts that are on Pinterest. Some of them are really cheesy. Now I've written a book. A really bad book. But I wrote one, and I'm proud...

One positive thing you accomplished today...

I loaded the dishwasher. Made peanut butter toast. I'm battling heart burn, so anything is good right now.

What are you thinking right now?

I'm thinking I like this thread. But I haven't been a member long, so bear with me. My real thoughts are that I can't concentrate on reading this forum and listen to my audiobook that I've been involved in today, and I don't like that. Usually I'm good at multi-tasking.

What is your weather like right now?

It is soooo gloomy here. I'm going to watch professional wrestling that I recorded. Maybe if I watch people bashing each other around, it will cheer me up.

    Annoying isn't it?

I think most people are focused on themselves, and don't pay attention when someone (like us) try to talk to them. If I feel like someone isn't hearing me, I tell them "you really need to listen to me." Sometimes I will make eye contact, or physically make them look at me. It can be hard. I'm...

    I'm old.

I've recently begun to believe in journaling. I keep one online. You can find great prompts, if you run out of ideas. I find lots of suggestions on Pinterest. Good luck!

    An encouragement for new members

I think I posted on the wrong thread the first time, so sorry for that. (Sheesh, I'm always goofing) I'm a 62 year old woman, live in a small town in North Carolina, married with children and got a bunch of grandkids. Wouldn't think I'm lonely, huh? I love my spouse, but we're just different...
