Hello from a newbie

Hi all. I will call myself solitudeseeker for now. I am a 50 year old female, live in Michigan, am married (the marriage is difficult - we are in counseling), and have a lovely 13-year-old daughter. I have struggled with loneliness and shyness all my life. I am looking for people with whom I can discuss these states, and looking for friends to connect with. I have few people in my life in whom I can confide, and few I can discuss life's current difficulties with. For many reasons I feel that I live a life of secrets, and this adds to my loneliness. I'm happy to find this forum.
