As usual....I just jump right in - both feet first and then later think about - well, maybe I didn't exactly follow the formal protocol here?

What prompted me to this site was based on a study which suggested that 25% of Americans have no one to confide in.

Isn't that just so sad?

I won't get into all the details which prompted me to post here, other than to say that its nice to know that I am not alone...."in my aloneness" (if you will) and perhaps, maybe together, we can help to shed light upon this awful stigmitazation (spelling?) and taboo"ness" that being lonely is for losers....when in fact, IN FACT - it's a sad, morphed society that clearly 1 in 4 of us finds ourselves grappling with - and you know what? This is NOTHING to be ashamed about!

Just a sign of our times where the effiicency of a nation is valued and geared more towards than for real, human needs.
