Anybody have any experience building your own cable system? I know there's a couple of meatheads on this site. Thinking about using mountaineering pulleys and rope and buckets of sand. :D

Lol o_O,
Sounds a little unrealiable,

I think you'd be better off just buying two dumbbells, a bar and a bunch of plates.

it's possible

just wondering if anybody has attempted anything similar

The most I've ever built for myself (and I didn't really build it myself) was a nice construction of metal tubes welded together. I had an overhead bar for pullups, a little thing to hold my feet for situps, and plenty of other odd-looking protrusions and bars used for general upper body/core stuff.

I had to have a friend weld it together for me, though, because I don't have that particular skill set. :(

And I don't have it anymore. Can't remember if I sold it or if the friend took it. lol

Holy crap! So I'm sitting home bored. And I'm always looking for new and exciting workouts! What would I do without Youtube? IDK...

Anyway, I am super-stoked! I found my new routine! Wow, this is intense. You've GOT to check this out!

It's made all that much better with the addition of 80s porno music.

I actually think you'd get more thorough and helpful responses to this question on a weight-lifting forum. Actually, there might be a few threads on one that might answer your questions directly!

You could ask Socratesx though, since he reccomends people work-out a lot. Maybe he'd know. Send him a PM!

Btw that last video you posted was something to do with yogic-breathing. It looks really weird, but I've seen my mom do it sometimes in classes she's taught.

I took a physical agility test for this fire department once and they had rigged their own prop for the 'Ceiling Breech and Pull' station. They had sandbags rigged to a pulley system to where you achieved resistance when you were both pushing and pulling with the pike pole. Not sure how they did it, but it was pretty amateur and the bag hit me in the legs once.

Welding is one thing I really wish I could do. I'd have myself a nice solid chin-up bar and a bunch of other stuff that I often think, "You know, I wish I could weld so I could make _____".
