Doesn't the phrase "It's complicated" really mean "I don't want to talk about it" ?

It means. "I need time to think of an explanation that doesn't make me look like a terrible person."

It means what the user of that phrase want it to mean.
It depends on the person and situation.

it can mean I dont wanna talk about it cuz i don't think a person will
understand becuz it's not always black and white. It's like a maze
or sometimes it's something that person dosnt have any experince or exposure to.
Kind of like me saying the harmonic minor scale is simple to play. I can understand it easy but a person without any knowlege of music theory will easily get confused or it's complicated for them.

Will when it pretains to love. Women will always wanna complicate

So..I'm in a relationhip at the moment. I don't want to mention
other women from my past to my fiance. Especailly the realtionships
I had with those two women I was having threesomes with

It can also get complicated if I have jealousy issues.

K...so rather than taking time to explain it to you. i might just say
my life is complicate. Not so much that I'm ashame or think
I'm a fool. It's just eaier for me not to feel like I have to explain
myself to poeple. And what I do isnt going to effect your life oneway or the other.

Other times when I say I'm complicate...people just thinks i have
major issues...it's sort of a way for me to filter people out of my life.
Kind of like when a chick tells you she's pregnant or has STD

if you're truly genuine in wanting to delve deeper you'll find your answer if you approach it unbiasedly and are prepared to mask your reproach with a simple shrug no matter how deep it affects you yourself.
