do any of you drink? i drink a lot. i've been drinking a half bottle of rum every alternate day until around two weeks ago. now i stick to beer. and im trying to lose some weight.

i don't drink but about 5 weeks ago i was pressured into drinking A LOT of vodka, wine, and steel reserve one night. a girl convinced me to take 2 viagras with the alcohol cuz she said she wanted to measure my dick while it was hard (she measure me soft earlier) but it turns out her and her gay friends who i didn't know were gay were just trying to get me "ready" so they could rape me. one of them kept grabbing my waist on the couch as i was falling asleep so i got up and left to go home but then they somehow got me into the other gay dudes' apartment alone. he offered me ox tail and when he got up to go to the kitchen he touched my arm and then licked his fingers. he asked me about sex and was describing dicks in graphic detail. he said his fantasy is to fresia me. i was so scared. he told me he's 53 years old. i have never been that nervous before in my life and i was drunk too but i knew what was going on. finally i said i have to go home and i just bolted out

If you are trying to lose weight, you better take it easy on the suds Chief.:)

I enjoy drinking certain brands of beer. Mainly Blue Moon. I hear a bottle a day is good for women's mental health. I appreciate my brain and its cognitive functions so I'll have a beer every day!

Yes, used to do the mixed cocktails and stuff back in my days of yore, but nowadays, I tend to imbibe frothy suds.
Craft brews, IPA,s etc. The bitter & stronger, the better.
Fave brew of the moment - Arrogant ******* Ale.
I loathe these Halloweeny pumpkin flavored brews. Yecch!

I used to drink alot (my whole family are big drinkers). At my worst I was drinking 3 bottles of wine every other night but that was years ago. I'm in a much MUCH better place now but I still cannot seem to drink sensibly. I think it's in my blood or something.

I'm also trying to lose weight so I restrict myself to only drinking once a month (massive improvement) but I'm a classic binge drinker and I always act like a total idiot when I'm drinking. I do so many embarrassing things that it's hard to pinpoint one!

erm...that last time I woke up and thought 'oh no' was probably during the last rugby world cup which was in New Zealand and since the matches were live, the time difference meant that they were on at 7 or 8am. My local pub opened (and served) for the matches...after one match where Wales lost (boo hoo), I carried on drinking. I have a vague recollection of trying to walk to a taxi at about 10pm, I had to walk across the road, there was a traffic island in the middle and I KNEW that I didn't have the balance to lift my foot high enough without falling over to get over it so I decided for do an army style roll over it then crawl the rest of the way to a taxi.

When I reached the taxi, I realised that everyone in the pub (including a guy I had a major crush on at the time) were stood there laughing at me.

I avoided that pub for a very long time after that!

My problem is I like drinking... That's one of the reason why I don't drink like I used to... Last time I drank a lot was little over 2 years ago... I went on vacation & went through 8 cases of beer in a week... That's not counting drinks I had with dinner every night & drinks I had with a buddy when he came down to visit for 2 days... I bought a case of beer when I got down to Ocean City right after checking into the hotel... That was around 4:30 in the afternoon... I put the case of beer in the icebox then went to dinner... Had 3 rums... Then went across the street to 7-11 & bought bunch of junk food... I was tired from driving so I figured I'd take it easy for the rest of the night... I turn the tv on & started drinking... That was around 7 in the evening... By 3 in the morning, I was out of beer so I went to bed... I woke up next day & surprisingly with no hang over... So I went out & bought another case of beer, I figured that would be good enough for the rest of the week... Had lunch, walked around boardwalk, did some shopping, all the vacation stuff... Came back to the hotel, went to "in house" restaurant... Had 4 beers with dinner... Then had 3 glasses of Whiskey, Johnnie walker... Then went down to my room... Turned the tv on, started going through left over junk food from the previous night & decided to have few beers... Before I knew it, I was out of beer... Rest of the week was pretty much the same story... I ended up buying case of beer every night & finishing them before going to bed... I haven't been really drinking since then... Beer here, drink there, on holidays & birthdays but that's about it... Being able to drink that much in that given time sortta scared me out of drinking... I guess it's a good thing...

****, you guys are binge drinkers! I'm glad you stopped drinking before you hit alcoholism. The last time I binge-drank, I blacked out and almost fainted in the restroom of a nightclub in Las Vegas.

I drink, I'm Scottish, it is part of the culture here.....I'm NOT an alcoholic-it's important to me to be in control of my drinking-my mother was an alcoholic.

During my 16 year relationship(if indeed it could be called that) with 'pothead guy' I could never have any drink sitting in the house(if it was there he would have to drink it til it was finished), it annoyed the hell outta me & I would never buy decent booze.

These days I have a lovely selection of single malts, some rather fab vodka, a couple of my fave rums & other bits n pieces for whenever I feel so inclined.

I'll admit I drank heavily myself in the past, another recovered binge drinker here....I've been very lucky with my liver it's been quite good to me/very forgiving over the years-I've never experienced a hangover.....I almost had one once, after pulling an allnighter that saw me put away....er lets just say a 'lot' of mezcal(that was the night I found out what 'blind drunk' actually meant-thankfully it was temporary, very scary though at the time).

After a coupla hours sleep I woke up feeling not so clever, dragged my sorry ass into the shower, pulled on some clothes & got me a can of Irn Bru & a couple of fried egg rolls from the van at the lorry park & I was right as rain, so we went out drinking that afternoon & everything was groovey......I wouldn't do it now mind.

The last time I was out(about a month ago) drinking with friends I broke someone's arm, it was an accident, we were having a carry on & I bootyblocked one of my friends....she fell badly-I really should know better & I feel bloody terrible about the whole thing! It has made me think again about my alcohol intake.

Haha I did go out once in my hometown and wake up in a toilet in Ireland.

(my hometown is near the ferry port in Wales so we used to get the ferry at 2am when the pubs shut, so that we could carry on going through the night)

Oh, your poor liver! Haha, I'm glad you cut out a lot of the drinking now. I could never drink as much as you did, I think I'd die lol XD

Us Celts certainly know how it's done! I'm half Welsh, half Irish and my mother is an alcoholic and I am desperate not to end up like her so I actively try to reduce the amount I drink

Lol... Speaking of drunk stories, I remember waking up in my drive way with my car engine running & foot on a break with my car in gear... Apparently, me few buddies of mine went out drinking & he drove me home - he drove my car & one of our friend drove his car... Here, after they dropped me & my car off, I called my buddy & told him I was going out to a corner store & pick up a soda because I was thirsty... I got in my car, started it, put it in reverse then passed out... I never made it out of my drive way...

Same! I haven't got to the point of having nice booze in yet though. Don't trust myself quite yet!

I know, right? I was lucky in so many level... I can't imagine how I didn't move around enough in my sleep that I didn't let the break go... I could've slowly drifted backwards into traffic... That's what I meant when I said I drank myself scared out from drinking anymore... Well, I still drink & like it... I just don't let myself get that way anymore... Few beers on holidays, few drinks on my friends birthdays, and thankfully I only have 3 close friends... I certainly have learned my lessons & though it's not really a funny thing, it makes me laugh every time I think back on those drinking days... And stuff that happened during them...

Speaking of cultures, alcohol plays a huge role in South Korea weather it's for business or otherwise... There's an unwritten attitude there, when somebody gets passes out from drinking, that's when drinking really starts... It's not about how much it takes for a person to pass out, it's about how fast that person get back up & start drinking again... Here's a little article about drinking & different countries... I'm sure it's only a broad sense of the way, it shows how much "on average" people in each country drinks but it gives you an idea how "drinking" is important in South Korea... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...ns-drink-TWICE-Russians-five-times-Brits.html

Interesting stuff sk66rc thanks for the link....

When my sister & I were on holiday in Thailand, the locals found the idea of two unacompanied ladies drinking Thai whisky like it was lemonade a bit unusual-until they found out we were Scottish lol
