I'm on a bit of a nostalgia trip tonight. What are some of the television shows that you used to watch as a child? Here are some of mine:

Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors

Transformers

Dungeons and Dragons

Maid Marian (I used to love the songs)

Rainbow

Fraggle Rock

Street Hawk

Quantum Leap (on which I based my life on)

I could add a load more but what are yours?

Those are some shows i liked a lot, the last 2 are french, rather unknown...

Fudd, Bugs, and Taz were the big ones in my day- only had cartoons for 6 hours on Saturday mornings and extras at X-mas ( 2 channels on the ol' black and white when I was small).

So grateful we didn't have that purple ******* Barney, I likely would have gone homicidal.

NEW ZOO REVUE

Fraggle Rock was supremely cool.

this is the kind of conversations I would like to have with someone.

Ah. Well, that takes me down the trip on Memory Alley...

There were Ducktales, X-Men: the Animated Series, Chip & Dale: The Rescue Rangers, Alfred J. Kwak, He-Man, Teddy Ruxpin, Doctor Snuggles, Adventures of Nils Holgersson, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Captain Planet & The Planeteers, Adventures of the Gummibears, Taotao, Around the world in 80 days, 'Once upon a time, man'... Darkwing Duck, LooneyTunes, McGyver, Adventures of Brisco County Jr, Super Mario Brothers Super Show, The Snorks, The Smurfs, Garfield and Friends, M.A.S.K...

The list goes on, really. Oddly enough, I recall having seen some of these shows on VHS, only. Mom would sometimes buy a sole episode of some show, and that'd be all I ever saw of it...

Retrojunk has a pretty extensive database for all those wanting to take a free tour to the days when cartoons were still good. :p

Does anyone remember a childrens series in the UK called the Enchanted Castle based on a book by E Nesbit? It was set in Victorian times, these children created an audience for their play out of paper mache but someone brought them to life with a magic ring and they turned out to be evil, I think they were called "Ugly Wugglies". Sounds daft I know but I watched it when I was 4 and it terrified me for months after! I can'd find any footage online to confront my demons though! :)

How could no one tell that Adam of Eternia was He Man, all he did was change his clothes! :)
I completely forgot about "Masters Of The Universe" lol I had almost every action figure. My favorite was "Stinkor".

I remember once walking down a quite country lane no one around and a He Man figure was just stood up in the middle of the road fully armed looking like it was about to attck me. After a brief stand off I kicked it over the hedge, master of the universe my arse!
