Seriously.

There is a strange little creature living in my backyard.

It's about half the thickness of a squirrel, but a little longer, maybe 18" in length.

It is about 10" of tail and about 8" of body.

It has grey bristley hair with patches of shadowy black hair to it.

It's ears are foxlike and stand straight up and are an exaggerated large size.

When it runs, it halfway hops like a bunny and flows like a fox.

It is quick and very thin in profile.

Stays low to the ground.

Guys, what the hell is living in my backyard, I have never seen anything like it?

I've seen it twice now.

Could it be Chupa Cabra?

Post IDEAS, this is stressing me!

Ferret? Meerkat?

Holy honeysuckle!

It IS a Ferret!

I didn't recognize it because I have never seen one in the wild (only as a pet)!

Thanks

I googled it, and it is DEFINITELY a Ferret!

:D

It's definitely not a rat. I love rats.

However, I am still open to suggestions.

Not so sure it is a Ferret.

Although that is the closest likeness I have seen!

It's not an exact match though, unless there is some variance in their appearances.

Google "genet". Could it be one of those?

I'd suggest a lemur, but I'm afraid I'd be getting into animals of bigger sizes (like raccoon). Also, lemurs on the loose? Sounds inconceivable, but ya never know...

a weasel, minks are too big, bigger than a cat. You should try to get a picture for us, i,m curious now.

I'm working on a picture and I would love to disclose my location, but I'm an international man of mystery.

Now everyone is curious :D

My guess is Frito is the son of a mexican couple who lives in the US :p
