"Quarantined" Malware/Viruses Help

Are viruses/malware that are "Quarantined" safe to just leave in there? Are they still a threat? The reason I ask is because my "Malwarebytes" has several that are quarantined. I'm afraid to delete them because it might affect the programs that I use a lot.

if it has quarantined the file, then it's already being marked as not usable.
when a virus program tells me it has a problem with a file, I make note of the file and what it is for.
if it's a Windows system file then you may or may not have luck getting the original since the files are not available for copy/paste from the CD.
if it's for a random application, you may need to reinstall it.
