I've always been intrigued by many cultures from all over the world, and i personally don't think i could chose one definite favourite. But i was wondering if anyone on here shared that interest and perhaps were very into a specific one?

Along the lines of Ancient-Egyptian, Roman, Greek, Mayan, Aztec, Native American, Aboriginal, Mongol, etc. etc.

all of the above i love history
and my own culture which i wont disclose on here for privacy reasons

Could national socialism be classed in this?

Technically no, if its German NS anyway and not one of the modern Indian takes on it that some of the Hindu Nationalists are fans of.

My favourite non western culture in a modern context is probably one of the Buddhist nations, Tibetan etc. Just the notion of the importance of equality and the concern for others that you see there.

In an ancient context, then Aztec/Maya/Inca. Its an area of the world whose history I find really interesting, I guess mainly as a lot of is it still shrouded in mystery. It was also a highly original and highly advanced culture, and while full of what we would now consider moral flaws, I do feel somewhat aggrieved still that it was westerners who killed the last of them off.

The Ancient Roman culture and most of the pre-Meiji stuff from Japan. Nowadays I wouldn't mind learning more about/visiting somewhere like Sweden.

I've always enjoyed Eastern philosophy and reading up on Taoism and the likes.... Having spent years reading up on current events, religion and history, it was good to take it some light stuff...Taoism is refreshingly simple yet true.

Japanese culture is a top one for me. They always seem to be more interested in experimenting with futuristic ideas with technology, even if they are absolutely ridiculous. Plus, cherry blossoms and Godzilla.

I've also grown fond of the Netherlands, and want to learn more about there.

I don't really have a favorite culture, but I've probably spent the most time studying: Japanese, Inuit, Kalaallit, Indian (north or south), Ojibwe, Dakota.
