Like most people, I write crappy stuff when I'm down. I mostly write songs, but poems as well. So I'm putting them here, just because. They're not very good, but I'm just trying to build up my confidence.
Death of Life
Roses bloom, their petals spread
Red like blood, for dew a bed.
But soon they wither, shrivel up,
The delicate petals, under they tuck
Just like love, it eventually passes by
Or any other emotion you try to hide
You try to speak, of course they hear,
But your deepest cares just roll off their ear.
Water flows, no matter the cost,
And leaves that blow away do become lost.
And just as I begin to feel as though I've won,
My life rises with the moon and sets with the sun.
Thunderstorm
Silver skies
Glide on by
With a simple,
Sullen warning
Before a light
Takes sudden flight
And covers all
With gloomy drops.
Silver skies
Up so high
The monster roars
So viciously.
And its might,
This dreary night,
Echoes out and
Shakes the Earth.
I know thee too well
To fare thee well
I've grown accustomed
To your rumbling
Without thee, I'd dwell
On lesser things, like bells
Their harmless ringing
Would deafen me
