Life experience has taught me that living alone is really a luxury. While I know that being alone and being lonely are not quite the same thing, the luxury of solitude should not be taken for granted. Many of us live in busy, crowded places and even having a room to ourselves is a luxury. People who can only afford to live with family or roommates, are homeless, are in jail, never get the privilege of any "me" time. I for one prefer to be alone than to be around most people, to be quite honest!

I know what you mean. I sort of bounce between craving communication and craving solitude. When I enjoy it though, I really enjoy it. Also gives you less busy schedules, which is a nice touch.
