Having a hide time going to sleep as of late, I went natural and took melatonin. It works well for me but has a side effect that it could cause/increase depression.

I actually like it....before I was at war with myself often believing in people when I should not. Now when I woke up and found out that the two people who promised to do things had not, I do not even get upset. Knew it was coming and dont get upset about it.

Odd is it not?

(Why hasn't anyone responded to this thread? That's unusual for ALL)

It's not odd. Not at all. It does appear to be a deadening of emotion though….deadened affect perhaps.

Sorry, clinically it's called blunted affect apparently.

I can relate to the numbeness being nice, not being hurt. It's like you are immune, isn't it? An armor of sorts. Unfortunately it also takes you away from experiencing life, emotions and the world…it removes you into this grey lifeless chamber where everything looks to be dead.

I'm talking in metaphors now.

Please correct me if this isn't how you feel.

I took them for 30 days straight ... think that was the max recommended
I probably was already depressed when I started taking them
I quit taking them and havent had another in months

I sleep better than I have in years regardless
I found a friend that I can talk to about the stuff that kept me awake at night
