Self pity

The first thing to target in order to overcome problems like loneliness, depresion, poor self image, etc. is self pitying. It always ties to stops you from being grateful for what you have. You start feeling like you have nothing because it absorbs all the happiness before it reaches to you from inside and from outside. So in order to overcome the habit of self pitying, gratitude is extremely important. This video explains it very well:
