So I went to sign up on here and found that I already have an account on here that I created in 2013.. so I guess this is a very late introduction!?

I don't really know what to say here.. I'm 28 years old, female.. living near London, UK. I used to have a fairly active social life until I found myself unemployed in 2009, and lost all my confidence/self-esteem. My friends started leaving me around this time..

More recently, I have been heavily relying on my boyfriend for socialising.. He has a solid group of friends that live near him that are great.. but now that I've had to move back in with my parents, I can't rely on this anymore.

Unfortunately, I am all alone here & in the middle of the countryside.. so it's pretty difficult to meet new people.. I'm feeling particularly lonely today.. So I'll probably just browse this forum for a bit, go to bed, then feel better tomorrow.. but hello anyways!

:)

Hi tokidoki welcome to the forum :D

I believe your name means sometimes in Japanese if my memory serves me right.
I can relate a bit, pretty much all my college friends have moved away and I don't have any friends in my area.

Anyways i hope you feel better soon :)

Hello! Ahh thanks for the warm welcome.

And it does indeed! I studied Japanese at university.. and am amazed that I've actually managed to not forget all of it haha!

:-D

Hello tokidoki, welcome to the forum!

Socialising in a small town/city is very hard, I live in a small town of 2300 myself, actual countryside would probable be even harder still!
Sorry you had to move back in with your parents, I'm sure they are lovely people, but once you've had independence it's tough to go back and be a "child" again. :D

See you around!

Welcome! ^_^ I hope you'll be happy around here. In case you need people to talk to, there's almost always someone in the ALL chatroom... just a tip :)

Hi Tokidoki!

I hope U had sorted out that thing you've mentioned in Uk i would volunteer, but I seldom use the internet , so I cannot lie saying "I would help you" (since this post is old and heavens gave you what you probably needed).

Whatever happened, I laughed at the pic I'll upload 👉

Partners or friends ARE FOUND statistically the places you like (1) or the places THEY like (2) so, if I planned to get a LONG-TERM relationship, i'd better visit the places where there are more FISH 🐟, If I heard a 🐳 singing, I would open up my heart to listen to what she sings.
This is not a lonely life! But a lonely search. 😉

HI I am new to this forum and from UK also, but I suppose I can relate if only a little, my only friends lives in Scotland and therefore I have to rely on my partners friends for any form of social interaction and I am the spare wheel that gets brought along out of sympathy.
Hope things get better
