The Better I'll Be By The Sea (a poem)

Everywhere I go, no matter what I know

I'm tired of people who don't a damm

People who complain, argue, nitpick, and whine

People who think they know you, but rather not have any time

People who are arrogant, mean, selfish and rude

People who just don't like you, because they think your too crude

People who are offended by the littlest thing

People who hate on everyone and everything

Religion, politics, the government, and the news

And everyone seems to have an arrogant, shallow, narrow-minded view

I just wan't to go

Somewhere where I could be me

I just wan't to get away from it all

Somewhere by the sea

The world can be a tough place sometimes and people can be mean, selfish and arrogant. I think it might be as a result of the way society puts pressure on people to aspire to certain material things and unnecessary acts of proving one's self worth based on a cash value rather than being a good person.

I'm sure that one day you will find someone who is on your level, a good thing might be just round the corner, keep your head up.

I like your poem, I'm really feeling it. I wrote one recently about how I feel about my life, but it's a bit too dark and I don't know if I should share it or not.
