A long, long time ago, the earth was covered by a vast ocean. We shall call this vast ocean the Sea. Now, in this Sea lived a Seal swimming about, enjoying itself everyday in the Sea's waters. The Sea was fond of the Seal and cared for it, giving it seaweeds and protecting it from storms and other danger. There were no other animals at the time on the whole earth. Just the Seal. Now, the Sea was always watching the Seal, it longed to speak to it, but could never do so. So in it's heart it felt sad that it was not able to talk to the Seal. Some times, when the Seal was not around the Sea would turn into a raging storm and violently smash itself into the rocks of the shore because of how sad it was.
"Oh, how I wish I could talk to the Seal and be friends with it," wailed the Sea as it violently crashed on the rocks of the shore.
The Seal, however, knew that the Sea was always looking after it and the Seal wished to be friends with the Sea. However they could not talk to each other no matter what they did. But they never gave up.
In the ocean, the Seal sent it's tears occasionally to the Sea and the Sea somehow knew they cared for each other.
