He said he doesn't love her anymore,
Who says a thing like that?
After 3 years of wedded bliss,
With no signs of anything amiss.
I hear his words but feel her pain.
My throat constricts, my vision blurs,
This is wrong yells my mind,
And my heart concurs.
It's not a lack of love,
It's not an unclear notion,
It's a selfish whim,
Brain cells gone dim.
A youthful beauty,
Captivating and fun,
Shiny and new--
Setting everything askew.
While the Mrs. cries, the Mr. plans,
The mothers lament, and I cringe.
What of little Ms. Sunshine?
She has nothing to lose.
