Ryan Aidan Hadley's Story page 1
Ryan Aidan Hadley was leaving a trail of footprints in the sand along the beach. The sun was setting, painting a mix of red, pink, and orange colors in the horizon. Ryan was taking slow, steady strides, his mind pensive, almost as if he was absorbing his surroundings like a sponge. People were passing him by to-and-fro, some jogging, others in a hurried walk but Ryan’s pace was by far the slowest like an old tortoise.
Ryan wondered what was on these people’s minds and what kind of lives each and everyone of them lived. He wondered if they wondered the same thing about him. Ryan was very keen at observing other people. Sometimes he would go for endless walks in the malls or parks just quietly observing people and their surroundings. He would even look at structures and try to imagine the construction techniques that was used to build such structures.
At age four, Ryan was struck with wonder and a sort of awe at this strange thing called consciousness. At night he would sit up in bed and pause for a short time feeling and taking in his surroundings. It was a lonely feeling, like knowing that you are the observer of your dreams and everything else is just an illusion.
Growing up, Ryan was an odd kid. He was never good at sports, other than playing tag, he never displayed much athleticism. He would rather play chess. He was very imaginative, making up stories with his childish drawings. His closest friends in elementary were the minority part of the class. When he was first introduced to video games, he came up with a thought that somehow life was a video game too and that he was the one playing, everybody else was just there for him to interact with.
At about the age of five, Ryan’s father first introduced him to the conundrum of the world, the Bible. His father told him many different Bible stories, introducing to his young mind God, the Devil, Jesus and the likes. These stories really made an impression on the young child, at a young age he asked questions like “What was God doing before he created everything?” One story that made a big impression on Ryan was the story of King Solomon and the two mothers claiming a newborn child. After reading the story, Ryan asked his God for wisdom, which Solomon apparently displayed after dealing with the two mothers. Whether or not that prayer was granted, we shall see.

its beauty is magnificent.
It breaks my heart to know that I will die
before I have experienced
everything there is to experience."
