Below I will post a series of Babylon 5 quotes that have not only helped me but also inspired me in my journey.
I do this with the hope that they have the same effect upon someone else.

For those not familiar with the show, it was a mid to late 90's show consisting of a feature length pilot 'In the beginning' then 5 seasons and towards the end there are 7 movies (that fill in the gaps) and 1 spin off series called 'Crusade'.
The makeup of the pilot and first series were rather terrible as they had a low budget, however they do improve. The story arc of season 5 is of slightly lower quality than the previous 4 seasons (season 4 being the pinacle) as they were told that season 4 would be the last. It was so good however that they were given funding for a 5th season, having used up most of the story in season 4, most fans consider season 5 to pale in comparison.
For me though the whole thing is more about reading between the lines, more about what they say, rather than what they look like.

You can buy the 'ultimate' box set which consists of everything. However the production and broadcast order is not the same as the story arc order.
If anyone wishes to have more information on this please let me know.

I like that one.

She is by far one of the best characters in anything I've seen, ever.
One of the resons I love this show so much is that not only are its topics still relevant today, but more so that all the characters develop so beautifully along the story arc.
Alongside Delenn, G'kar, actually has one of the most beautiful and painful developments I have seen in a character. Lots more of him to come.

G'Kar:
"If I take a lamp and shine it toward the wall, a bright spot will appear on the wall. The lamp is our search for truth... for understanding.
Too often, we assume that the light on the wall is God, but the light is not the goal of the search, it is the result of the search. The more intense the search, the brighter the light on the wall. The brighter the light on the wall, the greater the sense of revelation upon seeing it.
Similarly, someone who does not search - who does not bring a lantern - sees nothing.
What we perceive as God is the by-product of our search for God. It may simply be an appreciation of the light... pure and unblemished... not understanding that it comes from us. Sometimes we stand in front of the light and assume that we are the center of the universe - God looks astonishingly like we do - or we turn to look at our shadow and assume that all is darkness.
If we allow ourselves to get in the way, we defeat the purpose, which is to use the light of our search to illuminate the wall in all its beauty and in all its flaws; and in so doing, better understand the world around us."

"The universe began with a word. But which came first: the word or the thought behind the word?
You can't create language without thought, and you can't conceive a thought without language, so which created the other, and thus created the universe?"

Captain John Sheridan:

"If more of our so-called leaders would walk the same streets as the people who voted them in, live in the same buildings, eat the same food instead of hiding behind glass and steel and bodyguards, maybe we'd get better leadership and a little more concern for the future."
