I know there are more important things for me to be stressed about - such as how as of recent, I keep screwing up at my job!

Though with my shitty experience at the doctor was yesterday; here I am at 5am - I wake up normally at 5:30am - lying in my bed, PISSED.

I was scheduled for a 1:30pm appointment yesterday to see a specialist.
Now, I understand that doctors are busy and often see patients at a priority basis. However, as I was one of the doctor's first few patients - I was second in line...I thought that at most, the wait would not be THAT bad.

But apparently, despite being the second patient in line, every person that walked in the door after was more of *priority* than me. Including the women who looked all dolled up holding their many botox pamphlets.

I would estimate a wave of around 10 people were pushed ahead of me while I was waiting for over an hour.
Yeah, yeah. Everyone was a priority over me.

After finally being called into the doctor's room, I was left waiting for over 1/2 hour, while - I can bet my money on this - she was serving another *priority* patient.
When the doctor did come in to see me for 10 minutes, she then disappeared again to get me my medication and prescription. However, when she did return (after another ******* 1/2 hour-hour), she came back empty-handed and told me to wait in the waiting room as she needed her office staff to call my family doctor first for more information.
While waiting in the ******* waiting room, I asked the reception as to how long I would have to wait.
They smiled at me with their ******* teeth so huge, and then told me it wouldn't be much longer, then pointed to my file.

YEAH. I SEE MY FILE. HOWEVER, YOU DID NOT PICK IT UP AND ARE NOT WORKING ON IT RIGHT NOW. INSTEAD, YOU'RE DOING ALL OF YOUR OTHER **** ADMIN WORK, INSTEAD OF HELPING *ME*, A PATIENT PERSON WHO IS IN FRONT OF YOUR FACE WAITING, WAITING, WAITING.

GOD MAY AS WELL BESTOW UPON ME HIS MIGHTY POWERS, TURN ME INTO A RABBIT INSIDE A CAGE, AND THEN FLOOD THE ROOM WITH CARROTS AND WATCH ME SUFFER IN SILENCE.

At that point, the office was closing! fresia that! Somehow, I was one of the first patients in the office, and end up being the last one in the office! ******* spent several hours - all waiting.

I could send in a complaint in writing - but they don't care. At the most, they will read it, roll their eyes, then shred it. I would know - I WORK FOR THE GOVERNMENT. *hahaha*
However, I am going to down-rate this honeysuckle-ass office on the internetZ and have my family doctor that will refer me to someone, who won't shove me at the back of the end because *somehow*, everyone is a priority over me.

I believe much of it is due to my young age, and my shitty baby-face as I look timid and easy to bully.
"She's just a kid" is what many people must think of me.
Even with haircuts, they butcher my hair however because they figure ehh...why waste time on her?
The *****-face, miserable-looking women are given priority mainly because they look like they have entitlement issues and will lodge a complaint left, right and center and don't know how to shut up once started.

Yeah. I understand how your little frown lines are upsetting you and how you need a little touch of botox here and there every 5 months or so, while I am getting a ******* infection from **** rashes that are spreading!
(Gross, I know. I don't know what's wrong with me either and with this type of service, it's likely I'll never find out! Hahahaha. *shrugs*)

Along with my hair thinning out, I feel ******* even more unattractive than I did before - which was pretty bad to begin with. fresia THEM.

I'll find someone else who's worth my time.

EDIT: Also, I forgot to mention that I had walked out after waiting and waiting, and still no requisition or prescription of the sort. I had basically demanded that they call me when it was ready for pick up, and left it at that. Today, I received a call from the office, asking that I book another appointment! I AM NOT GOING BACK THERE EVER AGAIN!
I have an appointment with my family doctor on Thursday - **** well am going to get referred to someone else!

ALSO...along in this jumbled mess - I had to cancel my appt with my therapist because of the timing!

Hahaha...no wonder I need my therapy!

@_@

**** thats tough, seeing a doctor is never an easy task and customer service is non existant these days especially from "services". i got mugged not so long ago and somehow ended up at a hospital and there was quite a lot of blood coming out of my head but i sat in the waiting room which had 3 other people in (probrably 2 patients) and i was left to sit there for 3 hours, by the time i actually got seen i was quite low on blood and fell over causing more damage to myself i would have been better off just going home. no matter what you do you cannot predict the actions of others. most people arent worth the time you just need to laugh at them (which u seem to) and spend more time with the "good people"
:)

Sorry for your terrible experience but that was entertaining to read. I think we've all shared that experience. Last time I went to the dentist I had to wait for 4 hours past my appointed time...I think it was even worse for the people walking in.

Also I recommend occupying yourself by considering what you would need to do if the whole place suddenly broke out into a melee. Or just let out some of that insanity that has clearly been building up in there.

Luna, I applaud your patience. My fuse is long, but once it reached it's point... I lose it!

That happened to me when I went to get my prescription refilled. They said it was only going to be "fifteen minutes", but then I ended up waiting six hours. In fact, I even left for about 3 and then came back, and they still didn't even refill it. By that time, I was pissed. Don't lie to me and tell me that it's only going to "fifteen minutes", and then not have it ready. I needed that medication.

The lady that served me was a foreigner. While I have no problem with foreigners, I do have a problem if they are working in a job that requires communication and don't know how to speak a lick of the major language. I would expect myself to know the major language in another country, especially if I was going to be working a job within the medical field.

She had the audacity, after six hours, to just ignore me as a customer. Completely ignore me! I come to find out she stopped working on my prescription totally and just helped the other people. Luckily, one of the other pharmacists helped me after he saw that she brushed me off.

Needless to say, I am never going to one of their pharmacies again. I found another one that is so much better and the workers are more professional.

I think most of us can relate to a similar situation where your made to feel like your just not important enough to bother with. Sounds like you kind of went through a mini-version of hell on that doctors visit, and I would recommend you file some sort of formal complaint. It may not do any good, but at least you tried.

One thing I'd recommend is not being so hard on yourself. The common theme is that even though these people were jerks, you try and twist it around to make it sound like its your fault, when its obviously not. Give yourself more credit and constantly remind yourself that you are no less important than any other man or woman out on the street. Everyone will be mistreated during their lives, and the hard part is to hold yourself up and not let other peoples actions effect your self image or self worth.

And its not because of your looks. If anything your so healthy and good looking that they dont see any reason to rush you to the attention of the doctors.
