What Have You Got There (On Your Desk)

Hey folks! Y'know, they say what you put on your desk (neatly or cluttered) tells a lot about you. So what say we go round and rattle off what significant items we have on our desk?

Could be your work desk, your home study desk, whatever desk (the desk you have this PC/laptop on?)

I'll start!

My desk has *squint*

1. A half broken crystal ornament - t'was a gift really but the top fell off coz I dropped it; I still kept it though for keepsake so hehe..that explains the half broken part

2. Two calendars - yes ladies and gentlemen, not one, not one and half but TWO freaking calendars*flashes the peace sign, equipped with cheeky grin*; I still don't know why I have two sitting here but its time to throw it away since it's the end of the year, right?

3. A cow head shaped phone holder - it's cute, it's 'duh' looking and it holds the phone. See, I do have something useful on the table after all!

4. A coffee mug - on good days, I make coffee with it; on bad days, if life becomes too unbearable, I might use it to club myself on the head as a wake up call...I might....

5. My cell phone - ring dammit ring ring ring! The only reason its still sitting on the table coz it hadn't rang at all today

6.A box of tissues - for a good ol' sneeze, or for times when I become a human watering pot

7. A box of candy - ok, there are 2 boxes of candies here. Well at least if an earth quake happens and I get caved in here, I have enough glucose to last me for a week or more

Conclusion? I keep a lot of useless stuff on the table *grins*

Not to derail the point of the thread...but wouldn't it just be easier to take a picture of one's desk instead of listing the items down to the last molecule?

Are you sure that's a desk or a closet? LOL Wow..thats a LOT of stuff sitting in there...and fortune cookie? good heavens, has that thing gone past its expiry date yet?

* A Rubik's cube (I've only managed to finish one side so far *sigh*)
* Pulp Fiction on DVD
* A silver ankh necklace

That's about it (excluding my gaming consoles). I guess I'm somewhat organized.

Hey you know, I've tried for years to solve that rubik cube thingy but couldn't. Some dude I met many years ago could solve it so fast, it was spell binding to watch. There's gotta be a trick to solving that thing that I haven't figured out yet *narrows eyes with determination*

ok then..

it's a coffee table, but i guess thats close enough..

my monitor, it's biggish and has a cigarette burn in it that i can't help but always see even though it's tiny
my gaming mouse with a slowly pulsing red letter GIGABYTE sitting on a ratty looking book i use as a pad
a book about neuroplasticity i got for christmas with a bookmark of a door drawn by someone with an intellectual disablity (also a present)
another book by Clive Barker, Imajica with my own created bookmark of a painting of a tree in a deserted landscape in watercolour
a lighter - red
a half finished packet of cigarettes - Longbeach original 40's
a glass ashtray with a collection of butts and ash
a half drunk cup of coffee with a pattern of a large purple flower with vines and leaves surrounding it
3 remote controls
a blue felt-tip pen
and the key board i am currently using

I'm also using the coffee table.

• a green tablecloth on it from Christmas Eve;
• my water glass (now empty);
• the bowl that had my green bean salad in it (also empty);
• my hair scrunchie;
• yesterday's Sunday newspaper (un-read);
• three remotes for the tv, dvd and vcr;
• 2 pens, a box of dark chocolate truffles from Munson's that I got for Christmas;
• a spongebob toy that my younger daughter took from her room and wrapped up for me for Christmas because she really wanted to have a present for me -isn't that sweet? lol;
• The Bread Baker's Apprentice cookbook my mom got me for Christmas - let me tell you, I can not wait to make pain à l'ancienne;
• 2 pens;
• the adoption certificates from my daughter's Fur-Real toys I got her for Christmas;
• a few random tufts of cat hair thanks to the furry ******* who sheds year-round;
• the sheaf of recipes I printed out for the holiday extravaganzas;
• My laptop, mousepad and optical mouse.

I didn't go into work today, so it's "home desk" for me...

- computer, keyboard, monitor, mouse, etc...
- cd's and games
- Digitech box
- M-Audio box
- guitar pick
- digital camera
- a mummy head candle
- pipe and a pouch of Carter Hall

That's not very exciting. I'm too much of a neat freak to keep things piled up for long. :/

I don't have a desk. I use my laptop on my bed

So on my bed I have my mobile phone, cigarettes, lighter, and my TV remote

- computer (imac), mouse, keyboard
- printer, ext hdd for backup and some power cables etc.
- yamaha cs5 synth hehe

I just beat you all at neatness >.< And yeah, the rest of my room is just as clean.
