fancy dress, anyone? Help!

Hey guys. Hope you are all spiffin this morning.

I've got a fancy dress party to go to in a few weeks time...and I really can't for the life of me think of anything to do as. I don't want to go as something that people usually go as...I kinda want it to be something pretty good. I keep thinking back over classic movies/tv shows/comics etc for something to go as, but with no such luck.

So please please please can you get your clever thinking hats working to suggest ANYTHING you think would be good to go to fancy dress party as?

A "fancy dress party" is a costume party without a mask?? Just not up on my party types.

I'm also a bit confused about the fancy dress party/ costume party.

It is just a costume party...I always call them fancy dress parties....just were you have to dress up as something....anything....
