A Picture's Worth a Thousand Words

I've thought about making this thread before; but, I don't think I ever got around to it. I've been thinking I'd like to practice my writing skills. Perhaps you would too?

So... The rules of the game...

You can submit a picture, and I (if I feel up to it) or if anyone else would like to, they can choose to, 'take on that picture,' and write a story about it/based on it/inspired by it.

The story must be at least 1000 words. The goal is a, 'short story.'

So, give it a go, if you'd like. In this thread, a picture may very well be, worth a thousand words.
