I laughed so hard while reading this. :p

Im not a hater, per se, but this kid is doing dangerous things.
However, my attention was actually snagged more by the "comments" at the bottom of the article (you have to click a link to expand them). People were suggesting he was a "normal teen."
This was my reply - feel free to discuss but this is in the entertainment section, so lets keep this light. IF anyone even bothers to reply - not sure how many Beleibers and NonBeliebers we have here. lol :p

My reply:
First, I think people need to stop saying he's a "normal teenager." He might be doing things that SOME teens did at his age, but here's what sets him apart...
How many normal teens have access to the kind of wealth and connections he has and what it will buy him? You know...things like REALLY fast cars, (to race and possibly hurt/kill people with) unlimited amounts of drugs and alcohol and money to pay people to get him out of trouble? He is NOT a "normal teenager" and anyone who suggests he is need to rethink their position on that. I won't even get into the "do we deport him" debate. I'm just pointing out that he has means and options that MOST teens don't.
Also, perhaps he should be given a choice. Go back to Canada or face the consequences of what he's done on America soil and accept the FULL punishment that his crimes (if convicted) allow for here. I can pretty much predict which one he'd choose. Im not sure what he's being charged with (or if he is guilty) but Im pretty sure that speeding, drag racing, reckless endangerment and driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol will likely carry some jail time. Just my two cents.

Washington (AFP) - As if Barack Obama didn't have enough problems to deal with already, his administration now is being asked to weigh in on the grave matter of Justin Bieber.

By mid-day Wednesday (1700 GMT), a petition on the White House website calling for the deportation of the Canadian-born teen idol had garnered 103,000 names -- easily surpassing the threshold of 100,000 signatures required for presidential consideration.

"We the people of the United States feel that we are being wrongly represented in the world of pop culture," says the petition, created by one "J.A." in Detroit last Thursday, the day Bieber was busted in Miami Beach for impaired driving and illegal drag racing in a flashy Italian sports car.

"We would like to see the dangerous, reckless, destructive, and drug abusing, Justin Bieber deported and his green card revoked. He is not only threatening the safety of our people but he is also a terrible influence on our nation's youth. We the people would like to remove Justin Bieber from our society."

From the comments that i have seen this place seems to be a hot bed of fans :)

ya, he is far from a normal teen. nothing in his life is "normal" so how could anyone even suggest that.
he's a spoiled brat, arrogant, rich ****** bag who makes Kanye West look like a nice guy.

also..
Go back to Canada or face the consequences of what he's done on America
ummm, no thank you!
he isn't Canadian. he may have been born here, but since he was "discovered" he has become pure American. He lives in the USA, works in the USA and can die in the USA.
they turned him into what he has become and so they can have him!

Apparently he is in Canada right now (turned himself in to Toronto police last night for assaulting a limo driver back in December), though the States can have him back. We don't want him back here either, he's an embarrassment to us. This kid's parents have failed him just like Lindsay Lohan, even though he hates that comparison. His dad was freaking involved with the alleged drag racing, way to go Miami police for screwing that up. What parent in their right mind does that? His mother seems to have a "kids will be kids/boys will be boys" attitude. His mother, manager (I use that term loosely), Usher (who mentored this kid, nice job) and a few others took him to Panama this week for an "intervention" which was more like a vacation. This child has monopolized the media, it's talked about on several programs almost everyday. Someone needs to slap that kid in the back of the head and knock some sense into him if there is any left.

If he is a normal teen, it would follow that all teens are out making idiots of themselves, assaulting people and generally behaving like wankers. That's not to say some of them don't, they just don't get the publicity over doing it. But if publicity at that age isn't a good thing, neither is having loads of money, slack parenting and the idea that talent and fans means you get a free pass to do what you want. One day he might grow up a bit and look back with a cringe at all of this. Alternatively those close to him will keep telling him it's normal and then - heading down the crazy trail to crash and burn, baby. Waste of talent, waste of a life.

The celebrity and fame helped turned him into what he is now, but as Dr Phil said this morning on the View (shut-up yes I watch that) that this behaviour was in him when he was younger. This kid has been allowed to do what he does with no consequences for his actions, his money and fame keep getting him out of it. He thinks he is invincible.

Oh and no surprise but when he turned himself into Toronto police he plead not guilty to the charges.

I remember when he first hit the scene, I said he was a punk and people called me a hater. lol :p

America didn't turn him into anything - he did that to himself, tyvm.

hmm, I dunno about that.
I honestly cant say what he was like before fame hit him, but he is much bigger in America than anywhere else, including Canada.
if Americans didn't love him so much and make him filthy rich, he would be a different person I bet.
the same thing happened to Celine Dion. (yes, I actually typed that name and did not follow up with Harikari, sorry)
my wife was a big fan of hers as a kid and she had a long career that never really took her outside of Quebec much, until she hit it big in the USA and sang the theme for Titanic.. then next thing we know she became some kind of royalty in her own mind and had herself carried around by servants and talks about herself and her talents in the 3rd person.. and so on.
it is a classic case that is clear to see exactly when she "changed".

sure, it rests on the individual on how they will act and really, his parents are mostly to blame. but, they are a product of their industry and surroundings and his family, management, entourage and fans are loving him and supporting him and encouraging him every step of the way. not to mention many other celebrities backing him up.
he's just a product of his environment.

He's 19 - he makes his own choices. I dont feel that America made him drag race, drink alcohol, do drugs and beat drivers. Plenty of other entertainers don't act this way.

I'm not a Biebler, but I have heard his music. So I can comment a bit on this.

My thoughts are this: his parents are enablers. He got Xanax from his mom, his dad was partying and supplying him with weed, alcohol, fast cars, and hookers. I think that girl Selena Gomez actually stabilized him, because she seems like a pretty clearheaded person...after that relationship ended (I only know this because my sister's daughters, two of them teenagers, wanted to marry him), it seems like he went off the rails.

It's too quick to diagnose him with a mental illness, such as Britney Spears or Amanda Bynes had. But I definitely think that, had this been a normal teen, none of these problems would be going on. His celebrity status fed this, and we all cheered his demise.

I wish him well, and I think he should quit music, or at least take a break from it. Do some good for himself, and then, if he wants to write adult pop, come back with something that sounds less boyish and less teenybopper. Right now, I can't take him seriously as a musician, and I can't take him seriously as a pop artist. All of his rivals are making much better music (like that Taylor Swift, who I absolutely love.)

And Walley, you can't compare him to Celine, because she actually has a lot of talent. Her voice is just gorgeous. Justin doesn't really have that much talent, mediocre songs, mediocre voice.

I think his life isn't normal, but I think if most teens who were born rich/spoiled had the life he did, they'd be behaving the way he is.

I think he's a jerk that's been given way too many resources and just doesn't know how to behave or react to it all.

I blame the system for enabling&allowing him to behave this way (beliebers who believe he can do no wrong & having money to get away with the honeysuckle he's done, etc) when it clear he's very unhealthy mentally.

His situation may not be normal, but I don't think it's weird or un-expectant.

ROFL

Yep that's basically the feeling right now. Kind of sad, guess at that age being hated by the masses doesn't really matter. Too bad he doesn't see the leach and mooch his father is either.

America made him. They gotta deal with it. Obummer has enough to deal with. Like handing out free phones and promoting socialism.
