trying to get a job as an accountant ...
i have lots of work to do like referring a lot of books for that purpose ...

i have ordered at least 5 books from a local online shop and i am waiting for it to arrive ...

so i have loads of anxiety about it ...

i also think my depression isn't going to change anytime soon ...

because after getting the books i have read the books , do all the practice problems in it ...
and after 3 or 4 months i will try to join the accounting department of a company ...

i might have to work there for at least 6 months to get a better pay ...

so again that is going to be a lot of waiting ...

Well, for a start you can maybe try and focus on things that are emediately at hand, that you can do something about, not things two weeks, two months from now. That's a mistake I always did and I ended up having anxiety about a future that hasn't happened yet and not being able to handle something right infront of me.

Just working is no fun I agree. I like listening to music to pass time, especially tracks that make me emotional (good or bad). I use to be on a lot of unnecessary medication that numbed my senses, so it's nice to feel something for a change. Or I play video games, also I like things that are emotion evoking. I just finished God of War and that had me crying - pure gold for my boredom. Other than that I play with my dogs or talk to my parrot for her thought provoking insights.

Is there anything you enjoy doing?

That is so true ...
The problem i am facing these days is that i cant even get a simple point like this from the conversations i have with my family members ...

Nothing serious ever comes out of their mouth

And always a load of pointless crap ... irrelevant to what i am doing or what i am trying to reach ...

I think i watched all the shows of philomena cunk on youtube ... and i will remember 2022 as an year that i discovered philomena cunk on youtube ...

I enjoyed every bit of that show ...

i would even give it a rating of 9 out of 10 ....

But i think i finished watching all of that show on youtube ...

I can try watching some family guy on youtube later ...

The only video game i play these days are WCC2 in my mobile ... and i have been playing it for the last 6 or 7 years whenever i get time ...

The only game i have enjoyed playing before was the age of empires game in my computer ,..

I used to play guitar too , it has broken strings now and i don't feel like playing it anymore ...

every time i try to play it feels the same ... the same tunes comes and goes

Don't get me started on family. Me and my brother seem to be living in two different worlds sadly. He's all about money and how to get it, and conversations soon become extremely boring or awkward for us both. He's also still in a religion I am not a part of anymore, so I can't speak my heart in that regard for fear of offending him. Also, he treats his wife very bad, and if I spend time there it only gets my blood boiling. So family is a let down...

Anyway, you've gotten me interested in philomena cunk, I'll have to check that out. Thanks.

Coincidentally, I was sitting on my bed this morning looking at my guitar and wondering if I should try playing again. My fingers have become soft (used to have callouses that helped). Then again I'm pretty bad at it and my ears would be relieved if I don't play again haha

Not advice, but my wife started in a pet store and showed an aptitude for numbers. She became manager. She jumped from there to a low end financial job with a major car manufacturer. She went from there to a small time accounting position with a little print shop. She got a job with a start-up insurance company as a bookkeeper. She worked her way up through hard work and going back to school.

She is now the highest paid accountant in the company that bought her old company making her among the highest paid in the country for her position. She is just shy of a degree as a Certified Public Accountant, which she says has too much regulation and oversight.

The point, she wanted to be a meteorologist, but she went naturally where her talents took her. Through time and experience she climbed the ladder. She really loves what she does.

So, go with your strengths. Give it time. Be confident that you are where you are supposed to be. Let it happen naturally. Your objective should be getting by until you can afford to relax.

Yea managing family life can be really hard sometimes ...

I am a married person ... i just somehow adjust with this married life ...

There are times in my life i have wished i was never married ...

i got married in 2013 ... still somehow going on ...

Thanks to computer , youtube and some forums ... i mostly stare into the computer screen for a long time .... that is how i spend most of the time in case i don't feel like spending time in front of books ...

i was not expecting this much amount of drama in a married life ...

if your purse is full it runs smoothly , otherwise its really hard .... especially where i live ... and i am 37 year old indian ...

these people follow all sorts of traditions and ceremonies and crap ... it makes an average person mental ...


i mostly watched the episodes of philomena cunk that was at least 30 minutes long ...

i love the way she presents it ... its really funny ...

My story looks a bit like this ...

I was in college doing computer science ...

i was not able to pass all the subjects properly within that 3 years time ...

I lost that degree ...

After wasting 7 years doing nothing ... i was able to join a distant education university for a business degree ...

i managed to pass all the subjects ...

but a business degree isn't much ... so i joined another accounting course ... it was at least 2 and a half years long ... that was covid period too .... very depressing , very scary period ...

i somehow managed to finish it too ...

in the meanwhile i was working too from morning to evening in a wholesale pharmacy ...

and used to study at night ...

that was really hard ...

Things are getting better ...

Best of luck. If accounting positions accept your degree then you should be good. Its just a matter of finding the ads to apply to.

I think you will do fine. But depression and anxiety can be a performance reducer for sure.
I have something like bipolar so at least it is not all the time depression however it is not that true that i would be very useful during mania times either, i just am happy or manic about one or two things at those times.. However this bipolar is in low volume sort of so i can feel only not very low lows and not very high highs.. It wasn't always like this and it was also more depression at a time. This became managable for me without medication.

So I've watched some episodes and loving it, I like dry humor or humor in a serious setting.

Regarding drama in married life, I can feel your pain and I'm sorry you have to deal with that. It always feels so unnecessary and pointless, yet hard to escape. I guess that's why I like things based in fantasy, where one can escape without physically going anywhere.

I wish I could give you good advice friend, but I have failed miserably with the same issues lol.
