Do you like to get lottery tickets?I think of them as a waste of time and a waste of money,I think of lottery tickets as for only lucky people winning the lottery.

When lottery winners here void anonymity and go to the media to say they've won it they'll say they have a good job anyway or a few houses etc. Or they'll have won it before, so to me they are a waste of money :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

So do I.
Buuut...my mom badgered me for years about getting at least one every week ir so. Over the years I relented. If only to not hear about it anymore.

I think lottery tickets are OK to play here and there, because like others have said, you can't win if you don't play.

But for the most part I agree, it's a waste of time and money, because it's 100% luck, you have no control over it at all, and the odds are insanely small.
You probably have greater odds of getting hit with falling space junk, twice 🥴 ☄️☄️

All in all I'd say it's fine to play here and there, as long as you don't spend tons of money, time, energy, and thoughts on lottery tickets, and to remember that the odds of actually winning are microscopic, so treat it as something you do just for fun, like an occasional trip to a casino. No one should make it their life plan, to win the lottery.

Unfortunately, Jedi powers do not appear to work on foreseeing the numbers 😆

I buy them once in awhile. I prefer to do the 50/50s or the Chase The Ace fundraisers. If I don't win, still goes to a local cause that probably benefits my family (arena updates, playground fixes, etc etc).

That sounds like a pretty cool lottery, actually. Winning is great but even if you don't, it still goes to something good/something you care about. There should be more lotteries like that!

I'll get scratch offs once in a blue moon, but that's about it. I do stuff like Amy mentioned too, I also host things like that for a school.

A lot of places do that kind of raffle, you probably just don't notice them. Veteran places, like VFW and American legion have raffles and 50/50 things. So do schools and churches and the like. It's an easy way for those places to pull in money because most of them don't have enough. They are usually posted in papers and on Facebook.
If there is an organization or cause you care about, ask them if they do things like that.

I should look into those and see what's around here, there's got to be something.

As far as organizations or causes I care about, something with animals/pets/dogs would be my top choice.

I recently ended a 20 year monthly subscription to a house lottery where the ticket purchases funded kids in difficult situations. The odds were like 150,000 to 1 (as I bought 2 tickets each month and they only sold 300,000) but even with a bunch of little extra prizes you could win, I never won a single thing.

I did do the lottery when it was only on a Saturday years ago, then they also brought in for Wednesday as well. I thought whoa, enough is enough.

At the start I selected my own numbers to be kept and used each Saturday. I got to thinking if I didn't do the new Wednesday Lottery and those numbers came up I would be well miffed.

Anyway I stopped doing the lottery altogether for several years, at least by then I had forgotten those chosen numbers of mine.

I now just buy the odd Lotto ticket when I get a feeling in my bones I might win........hm, no wins happened. :(
