To any and all, how often do try you pursue somekind of novelty. I find security in a somewhat obsessive habit of doing the same thing every week. I suppose we should all have a bucket list, even if it is something small, to jiggle perspective.
I'd say I've an anxiety/depression problem. My mind turns the smallest things into a mountain of garbage. If I go swimming I have to leave my phone somewhere secure but I'm kind of on call for my job, so I don't want to leave it anywhere. I'd be screwed if I lost my keys. My truck might break down. Traffic is notoriously awful. I don't have anyone to do things with. It's so easy to come up with reasons not to do things because of Murphy's Law.
So I'm open to anyone sharing a story of past, present, future novelties for inspiration. You folks strike anything noteworthy on your bucket lists, no matter how small the step?
Are depressed/anxious folks generally averse to risk. Either you're too depressed to get up or to anxious to go out, or one state turns upon the other.
