Do you have a favorite song that contains an amazing guitar riff, bass line or drum groove? Which song?

For me, it's the song Hysteria by Muse. The bass line is stupid cool, just unbelievable. Way beyond my ability to play as well

Aaahhh there's sssooo many 😩

Last song I taught myself to play in bass that's not in slap that I learned to play in slap anyway was Maha Kali from Dissection.

Purely because in slap, it feels rhythmically natural.
I can't NOT play it in slap now, actually.

Just about anything Ritchie Blackmore has done, he's written 100's of iconic riffs, it's hard to pick one. This morning I'll go for 'Burn', could've easily been ' Highway Star' or ' Man on the Silver Mountain'.

It's got to be one of my favorite songs of all time - the riffs, the melodies, the changes from quiet to loud parts and back again. It's both heavy and dreamlike all at once. It feels like an emotional explosion.

The Smashing Pumpkins - Hummer
